The Thing can beat Grey Hulk also, so its not a huge accomplishment for your point.
Also, Hulk is much slower than Ben, one of the factors that lets Ben take on Hulk in a mostly even match up.
No one is debating whether Wolverine is tough or not, we already know he is. Just if he can beat Ben Grimm in a fight.
