Wolverine vs The Thing

I'm going to go against the flow on this one and say that James Howlett aka Logan aka Wolverine.......................................loses

In the mini-series Ben Grimm and Logan, Ben Grimm used to put up a decent fight against Wolverine before he was super-strong. I fail to see how the claws will even the fight.

As much as I love Capt I'm going against him. Thing wins.

thing can not tkae logans best shot.
logan far superior fight.
logan far quicker
wolverine far more agile
wolverine has far superior reflexes.

I already stated why I think Thing wins. His fighting abillity isn't superior enough. His reflexs won't save him forever or for very long.
Sure Logan can take his best shot once but he's going to get hit plenty. I don't think he could continually take damage from Thing.
Logan is quicker but you would be suprised by how fast Thing moves.
Thing can take Logan's best shot, but he won't have to.
The guy has fought Dr. Doom one on one and you think Wolverine is going to win?

actauly logans fighting skill is leagues above Bens.

u don't see the piont about the reflex thing do u? logna will hit thing many mroe times then thing will hit him. also unlike thing logan can take things best shot thing can not hope to take logans.

logan can and has taken continual damage from people stornger then thing

We'll just have to agree to disagree here. I really don't think Wolverine is that fast and it just doesn't matter.

Actually he took on Doom when Doom had the Surfers powers and even though he was being overpowered he didnt give up and he came back and beat the crud out of Doom.

Oh and if Enemy of the State was well written, Ben would have grabbed Wolverine after he stabbed him and pretty much just ripped his freakin head off.

And Ben dosent give up. Thats what makes him so god damn cool is because as Dan Slott put it, sure guys like Cap and Batman will find a way to win and Superman overpowers everyone, but Ben has somthing no one else has, the inablity to give up.

Also, Logan isnt that much a better fighter than Ben

There is a difference between internal damage and shrugging off a punch. How many times has Ben been eviscerated and still fought on?

Ben more then likly has enevr taken a tougher stabb then that.

logan is a far superior fighter. wolverine is two level higher then Ben thats a huge diffrence. Ben knows maby 3 forms of combatt while wolverine knows well over a 100.

true that.. in the weapn x novel wolverine is actually revealed to have undergone some chemical treatments to enhance his muslces in specific capacities.

Probably not, as soon as Wolverine did that I doubt Ben would have fallen over seeing as Champion can dish out ALOT more and even then Ben wouldn't give up!

again surviving brute force against a rocky hide isn't the same has having your insides mangled...

This is like the whole concept of say Wonder Woman's durability. She can survive massive blunt force trauma no problem, like being hit by superman, but she can't take being penetrated. Look at Claremont and Byrne's JLA story. She was almost killed when she was impaled by a sword. She has survived the force of re-entry, but a bullet can still badly hurt her. Blunt force = no problem. Penetrating force = screwed.

That was FAR FAR from mangled it was 3 blades inserted in his shoulder!
Again also Champion jobber or not is a far better martial artist then Wolverine is.

Thing has even taken hits from artillery!

As Capt said he's only 2 above Ben.

Sure thats a lot, but it isnt a HUGE difference.

I've read quite a bit of this thread and it really is getting ridiculous. Wolverine's fans are once again going over the top here.

Thing could just grab wolvie by the neck and crush his windpipe.

Thing has proven again and again that he is one of the most durable brawlers in Marvel, and I don't care how fast and agile you think Logan is, he is so HUGELY outclassed in strength here that he loses. Everytime.

I understand that a legion of wolvie fans will attack me, but just try and use logic (as tough as it is to apply to comics) look at MMA combat. Take the most skilled, fastest most agile 155 pound athlete and put him up against a 6'8 400 lb fighter who has half his skill. the little guy will be crushed. Size and strength matter very much in physical combat, especially when you are exponentially outclassed.
