Do you even understand what's happening in that panel.. Wolverine is not holding himself up barely able to stand.. if that was the case he wouldn't have come out on top of Hulk in a head on collision...
What he's doing is trying to restrain the beast within him...
He's fighting his entire instinctive physiology in order to keep his humanity.. which you would know, if you read the book...

I read origins and endings and also the one where he fought Captain America and the cyborg. I also read Origin.
