That's strictly your opinion, and wrong, according to the Academy.
* Sir Alec Guiness was nominated for an Oscar in 1977 for Star Wars.
* In 1978 Hamill and Fisher both won Saturn awards for best Actor/Actress in a Sci Fi film.
* In 1978, Guiness, again, was nominated for Best Supporting Role at the Golden Globes.
* In 1979, Guiness won Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Actor.
* In 1981, Hamill was awarded and Williams nominated respectively for Saturn Awards.
* Then in 1983, Hamill won Best Actor at the Saturns AGAIN, while Fisher and Williams were nominated.

come on though Acadamy Awards are a sham. Titanic won the most oscars, yet there is no way it is one of the best films ever. also Martin Scorcese one of the greatest directors has never won an Oscar, personally i think that is outragious

Good point. The Academy awards are a total sham.Well said Dresta. To add to that point on how the Academy awards are a total sham, those idiots actually nominated that Anthony Hopkins movie-cant think of the name now, that horror movie as not only a nomination as best picture of the year award back in 91,but they had the audacity to vote it best picture of the year over JFK.Now thats a travesty of justice and why people at the academy awards votes should be taken in with a grain of salt.
On that not,I saw both Star Wars episode 3 and Batman Begins again this weekend and after seeing Batman the next day after seeing Revenge of the Sith,I had to ask myself the question-Now why did I pay to go back and see the Sith again when Batman Begins is so much better?

better then the PT no doubt but nothing really spectecular. Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill were quite weak in ANH, although Alec Guiness was very good.
Quite weak in ANH? No way dude. Now Return Of The Jedi thats a different story altogether.I could agree with you on that one if you were saying they were weak in that Star Wars film. 😄

Sorry for the late reply, but i am guessing a threat isn't a cowardly defense? Hypocrisy at it's best.

Liam Neeson
Ewan Mcgregor
Natalie Portman
Hayden Christensen
Peter Cushing
Christopher Lee
Jimmy Smits
All BM:

Morgan Freeman
Tommy Lee Jones
Nicole Kidman
George Clooney
Wow....
Anyways, Someone said that Star Wars has thrity years on Batman or something....
Well, if i recall, Batman was created in the early fourties, or was it the late thrirties.... Someone correct me on that, please.
So, Batman has had a seventy year overhall on Star Wars. Although i admit, the acting on Batman was good, it was not better than the acting of Star Wars and it will never be as loved as Star Wars is. Everyone says "OMG LORDSORGO, IT ISNT BATMAN B3G1NS FAULT THAT ALL THE UTHER MOVIES SUK3DD"
It isn't? Well, i think it is. If they f*cked up the other Batman movies, then they suck on d0uche.
Episode III or any other Star Wars movies HAS TOPPED Batman begins in the box office. THAT IS FACT.
Bale's acting was awful and the fighting scenes were worse than a six year old retard playing with toys.
Who cares if the movie was darker than the other Batmans. It still bows down to Episode III's superiority.

The Academy awards are a sham? I bet you wouldn't say that if the majority of people on the Batman movies had won of ton of them. I guarentee this.
Academy Awards count or people wouldn't be winning them, now would they? Obviously, people think the actors acting is good or they wouldn't be winning awards.
Batman sucked and they made an ass out of the bad guys.

Exactly, Shrek 2 is 3rd all-time domestically but we all know that doesn't mean its better than ROTS, BB, and all the others.
