That was in 1998. Post-Crisis Superman first went FTL (under his own power) in 2000-2001.

It's not coincidence that the times he couldn't go FTL took place several years ago. He got more powerful over time which makes sense given the way his powers work.

yep, pretty much any time a writer has him flying through space he seems to be going ftl, but on a planet - he's bound by the laws of newtonian physics.

The Long Halloween, The killing Joke, Batman: Year One.

I don't know how essential it is, but the Knightfall story arc was a good read.

Anyone here got all the Amalgam comics by chance?? Like the offshoots, and main titles?
