I get the feeling that Superman is going to get amped up again.

Christopher Kent basically showed that what Superman does now with his abilities are just the tip of the iceberg; if Superman was able to tap into the vast spectrum of energy that exists throughout the universe besides simple sunlight, his powers and abilities would increase exponentially.

i don't see superman getting a major boost soon to be honest, he's powerful enough as it is, and i think the writers are happy enough with him as is...

Yes, current General has been drastically downgraded. I havn't read JLA 18 though, but his other appearances show he is a shadow of his former self.

There was one JLA arc where his MotherBox was removed. He was tearing through people. But yeah the AstroHarness always looked goofy, they were trying to make it look cool when he
