Superman can most categorically NOT break the Lasso of Truth.

there's been two times it's been broken- one was non-canon (Red Son), and the other was when truth itself broke down.

Beings stronger or comprable to Superman have tried to break it (Amazo with Superman-strength, Mongul, etc.) and have failed.

Has anyone made a Superman/Batman thread yet for there comic?? If so I can't find it. I just got done reading 49 and thought it was pretty good, and been buying and it's my 10th Superman/Batman. I keep hearing ppl say Superman beat Darkseid in Apokolips Now and is that the fight in S/B there talking about??

That fight took place in a comic ironically named "Superman vs. Darkseid: Apokolips Now" - but their battle in that issue took place on an asteroid, or somesuch, iirc.

What are those bubbles popping up off of DS's arm?? What did Superman slam on DS's arm? How did DS and Supes get boomtubed to the Fourth World? by Darkseid? How did Supes get boomtubed back to Earth? by himself? nah 🙂

The 'bubbles' appear to be Darkseid's NG blood. It's probably illustrated as such because they are in space.

As for the boomtubes, as you can see, we never actually view one. Your guess is as good as mine. 😉

If you want to read good JSA, check out Morrison's run, or Joe Kelly's Obsidian Age arc. Trial by Fire was Awesome too, as was Tornado's path.

I believe Meltzer did Tornado and Lightning saga.

The JLA book seems to be hampered down by tie ins. wedding special, suicide run, legion stuff, countdown and tangent. Has he had 6 months of his own time to write a run yet?

Exactly. I'd be curious what Mcduffie could do with the book if he was allowed to write even like... three issues in a row that wasn't required to be a tie-in.

The boomtubes are on the 4th and 6th scan, that's not DS's NG blood its the Mother Box working on Darkseid, notice when Superman is fighting Doomsday in the 2nd battle the Mother Box is upgrading Superman and you see the same bubble like images. You cannot just one second be near Earth and the Sun then the next Superman can FLY to the Fourth World, not even in OWAW was Superman able to do that without using a Boomtube
