Tony Stark

😬

what does PIS or CIS stand for??

Plot Induced Stupidity - when a character is weaker or stronger than they should be because of the plot

Character Induced Stupidity - when a character is weaker or stronger than they should be because of their own personality/mental limitations

Can wolverine still not really die, unless he loses a fight to that guy in the afterlife?

Nope, that's been retconned (again). He's weaker and his regeneration is back to reasonable levels.

I believe PIS also covers Deus Ex Machina moments.

Where do the Infinites fit in the marvel power scale? They seem to be above Eternity. They themselves claim to be the most powerful beings period. So are they just under LT?

How much of Superman strength actual brute strength and How much is it Tactile Telekinesis?

It's in the Vs Forum Rules thread:

No Mentioning Events of PIS
Plot Induced Stupidity, or PIS, is when characters don't use their abilities or skills to the fullest extent as shown before, even within their personality ranges, for the sake of the story plotline. It makes lesser powered characters an actual challenge against higher powered characters in the comics. Examples of PIS include Flash stories lasting longer than three panels, or Toy Man as a threat to Superman.

Character Induced Stupidity, or CIS, on the other hand, refers to any natural mental limitations that characters impose upon themselves and reduce their ability to use their own skills and powers effectively. Unlike PIS, CIS does not occur because the plot requires it, but because the character is genuinely that dumb. Examples of the CIS-afflicted include characters such as Rhino or Jar Jar Binks. Events of CIS are not exempt from debates.

I got the impression they were above Eternity but below Abraxas

In Giant-Size Astonishing X-Men #1 Spider-Man broke out of a trance/illusion/hypnotize that not even Dr. Strange, Tony Stark or Reed Richard could break out of. Was that PIS, or is there some Spider-Man reason to why he made it?

^ It was theorized on-panel that the more powerful heroes were affected far more deeply by the trance. Hence, Spiderman was indirectly labelled as the weakest hero there.

What's the all about? Gotta be a What If?

^ Absolute win. Nuff said.

100,000 tons using his muscles alone, everything beyond that is tactile tk and thrust.

heavy things crumble when not supported properly, epecialy if one man is holding it over his head, thats where tacticle tk comes into play. hulk can't show off his dynamic strength under gravity due to the object breaking from stress, superman can bypass that to a higher extent with tactile tk.
