This time we have one that seems to answer one of the bigger questions related to Marvel's Illuminati mini-series: What has become of the Infinity Gems?

100,000 tons using his muscles alone, everything beyond that is tactile tk and thrust.

heavy things crumble when not supported properly, epecialy if one man is holding it over his head, thats where tacticle tk comes into play. hulk can't show off his dynamic strength under gravity due to the object breaking from stress, superman can bypass that to a higher extent with tactile tk.

Where do you get this number from?

Cite your sources. I've never seen a single comic to support such a wild assertion, and I've literally read thousands featuring Clark.

As powerful as some beings are, in comics, if they get punched or hit by a WAY lesser being, they still move. What's up with that?

Example: In DBZ, there are villains who are WAY stronger then the heroes and at first seem impossible to even move, but the heroes always manage to pull by powering up to crazy levels. Now, in Marvel's Infinity Gauntlet series, Thanos is pretty much unbeatable and I am damn certain there's not a single villain in DBZ or even hero for that matter, that can even come close to the power Thanos possessed, but yet even street levelers are punching him and rocking him. The attacks may not hurt him, but I would think that with that much power, it'd be like a human trying to hit a mountain. Can anyone explain this?

BTW, not trying to compare DBZ to comics in any way.

actually i'm pretty sure its because there of there wieght, and body hardness, as long as the people hitting them are strong enough they would cause the more powerful person to move even if it doesn't hurt.

Yeah, if you can lift a few tons then you're going to be able to move a guy who weighs less than 1 ton regardless of how strong he is ... unless he's in one of those "immovable" martial arts stances. I did those back in Karate, they were pretty cool actually.

or if hes somone like blob or juggernaut

Yeah, but Blob alters his density so his weight is variable anyway ... and Juggernaut has a mystical force field.

It's also different if it's someone who can fly, like Superman, who can propel themselves without pushing with their muscles.

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I would just think that Thanos, being as powerful as he was, would at least block or even dodge the attacks. It's obvious that he was toying around with them, but at times it almost costed him the Gauntlet. They were pretty close to snagging it away from him a couple of times.

well thats just because Thanos is arrogant

That, he is my friend, but thats part of what makes him so bad ass.

It was directly stated that Thanos was just putting on a show for Mistress Death. He didn't get serious until the cosmics arrived.

Anyway, basic physics states that even if you can lift 100 tons, someone who can only lift 1 ton can still knock you around unless you actually weigh more than a ton

not just more then 1 ton significantly more seeing as we can move things with strikes and pushing force that wiegh more then we can lift

My question is why the hell is Loki a chick

he/she is a shapeshifter and can warp reality, so can take up any form he/she chooses

Like I said, that does make sense, but the way I look at it, it's like a wimpy little nerd fighting a UFC champion. The nerds can surely throw some swings at the UFC guy, but because he is SO much weaker "and" lighter in weight, there would only be little movement due to the nerds blows. Now in IG, I can understand the logic if Thanos is getting rocked by beast like The Hulk or Drax, but Spiderman, Captain America, Wolverine, just to name a few, hit Thanos and "looked" like it rang his bell. Now, maybe he was exaggerating just to make it look good for Death, but would he really do that at the expense of losing the glove?

Blob has to have a limit since he been picked up before. If Thanos was to bath in a bath of Cosmic radiation would his amplify his powers

Wouldn't somebody who lifts 100 tons dexterity and lavage be to great to move by somebody who only lifts 1 ton.
