So, when zoom is running around the world, is it like he is running normal speed just in a different time line or whatever it is.....

Questions on Ultimate Origins 4:

Spoiler:
The Hulk kills both of Peter Parker's parents when he is, say, six months old? However, in Ultimate Spider-Man (somewhere in the #30s), Peter is watching an old family tape. He is probably (at least) seven in the tape, and his mother, father, aunt, uncle etc. are all present. How is this possible, considering we're to believe Hulk killed Peter's parents when Peter was a wee lad?

Beyond that, Richard Parker would have never been able to create the Suit that turns Eddie Brock into Venom.

And now Magneto's parents are Canadian? Does Ultimate Magneto have no connection to the Holocaust?

Am I the only one confused by Ultimate Origins? Has Bendis really moved to screwing up his own continuity now?

I heard they were going to change the title of the 5th issue to "Ultimate Retcon".

Is there any explanation as to why most of the Super Skrulls in SI are so easily impaled but Kl'rt isn't?

pretty much.

zoom isn't actually faster than a normal human being. however, he exists in his own timeline, which is well ahead of the normal timestream [thanks to a cosmic treadmill accident]. this means that he perceives everything in 'the now' as if it were moving in slow-motion. on the other side of the coin, this also means that anyone existing in the 'current' timeline perceives zoom as ridiculously fast.

hell, even after wally absorbed the speed of bart and jay, zoom still appeared as nothing but a blur to him. that type of speed is still hard for me to grasp.

I mean, i get that but wouldnt he get tired, to him he is running normal speed and that would be like 1 of us deciding to run around the world...

that's where the unexplainable 'comic book aspect' of zoom comes into play.

in nova #16 he says "they are but whelps. they know not the subtleties of battle..." and "i was fighting imperial wars before you pups were gene-bred." pretty sure he's just a lot better at not getting killed.

That wasn't explained for a very long time but recently I believe he told Inertia that he doesn't need to tap into the Speedforce, he taps into time.

Also, bottom of the page:

How did the Hulk even exist when Peter was six-months old?

👆

jay also explained how zoom's powers work:

is the future that superboy prime got sent to. The same year that Superman returned from his living in the sun?

It should also be noted that Zoom said he controls how fast he is going in compared to the normal timestream. So, theoretically, he could pretty much as fast as he wants to be, in relationship to the characters from the normal-time stream.

No, he got sent to the year 3008 (LOSH era,), Superman Prime emerged from the sun in the DC 1 Million event, which took place somewhere around the year 864000

By what? Pointing out a common misconception? If you believe it and refuse to acknowledge proof, then I will preemptively ask you not to be a recalcitrant idiot. Pure/primary adamantium is almost indestructible.

Internet .. serious business.

I don't have a lot of money. So I'm reposting a more economic version until I start my new job:
