Anyone know if Myth Busters ever did a "superhero/villain" episode?

Not really a comic book question, I know.

They busted some comic book myths, if that helps.

So does anyone know what the deal is with this Sword of God that SP1M recieves from God, or some shit? I have yet to see scans of this, so someone please confirm.

In a nutshell, the Sword of Superman was created by the big bang at the same moment as the universe -- pre-crisis Superman (not 'SP1M'😉 found the sword and remarked that it had great power -- he went on to own King Kosmos with the sword in hand -- Superman eventually started merging with the Sword but failed to complete the merger -- had he done so, Supes apparently would have become one with the universe.

In summary: the Sword has a lot of hype surrounding it, but the hype makes it sound far more impressive then it actually was.

will ares, hercules, odin, thanos, zeus ever be revived?

Don't know about the others but I believe Thanos is returning sometime this year.

Is/was Galactus the first cosmic god to appear in all of comics?

Did PC Darkseid ever physically confront Superman in h/h?

Anybody know if there's proof that Thanos draws power from his ships?

I thought he drew power from ambient cosmic energy of no one particular source.

In every pre-crisis Superman/Darkseid confrontation I can recall, DS always used his exotic powers in some way/shape/form.

However, in an issue of "Superman Confidential" (a retelling of Superman's first encounter with the New Gods) Darkseid owned Supes with a casual backhand. Granted that isn't a pre-crisis series in the literal sense, but given the timeline of the events portrayed, it could be viewed as a pre-crisis depiction.

Maybe? kinda

Thanks I guess. Its strange then that PC Darkseid's strength is often vaunted on this forum even though I really can't find any strength feats for him worth mentioning other than his fights with Orion.

Some people tend to assume a given character can throw planets around if the words "pre-crisis" exist in their title.

Still if he was able to imbue Validus with the strength of more than three PC Kryptonians it stands to reason he could amp himself to such levels or more.

I agree.

Reverse-projecting Validus' stats onto Darkseid is as reliable as reverse-projecting Durok's stats onto Loki IMHO.

So you agree that it's very reliable then. 🙂 👆

I don't see what's so crazy about assuming that Darkseid wouldn't be able to give himself such powers considering how easily he gave Validus his powers and considering PC DS was a low level reality warper.

^ Low level reality warping entails what exactly?
