More like sophisticated matter manipulation I suppose. It entails turning a baby into a twelve foot tall monster like Validus or doing things like removing Bouncing Boy's powers with a wave of his hand.

^ Loki has and still does stuff like that. Loki's never amped himself to have Durok's strength or durability.

Because Loki doesn't get down and dirty like that. I don't see why Loki couldn't amp himself though.

Is/was Galactus the first cosmic god to appear in all of comics?

Yes. Yet he doesn't get any respect at all.

Does anyone know when exactly the Alien Entity first appeared?

The Alien Entity only appeared in 2 issues: "Fantastic Four" v3 #531-532.

What do you guys think a fully powered Galactus would be like?

According to some comics he'd be the equal of Eternity but a Fully Powered Galactus can mean a lot of things.

There is no full power Galactus.

If the Black Celestial arc has any bearing on 616 Galactus, then it would be theoretically impossible to ever see a 'full power' Galactus, because his hunger (and by proxy, his power) has no finite end..

Depends how you define "cosmic god".

The Spectre appeared before him.

Thanks I guess. Its strange then that PC Darkseid's strength is often vaunted on this forum even though I really can't find any strength feats for him worth mentioning other than his fights with Orion.

He knocked Mon-El into a coma with one punch in the Great Darkness Saga.

Actually I believe that was a blast of the OE that did that.

As someone who never really got into the X-Titles or mutants in general, which ongoing series should I look into if I wanted to slowly get into the X-Men Universe? I can probably only afford one, atm.

How was Abraxas exactly destroying all those universes? I left a question on his respect thread but nobody answered.

Uncanny is probably the central X-Men title. Sadly, it's shit.

Those who are of the impression that Abraxas collapsed universes, believe he did so simply by entering them.

Ah, that sucks to hear. I had just started watching the 90's X-Men series and the newer one and I wanted to dive into the actual source material.

Also, does anyone know if the Superman/Captain Marvel mini "First Thunder" is canon or not?

^ It's essentially a retelling of the first time Supes/Marv met. Don't know why it would be any less canon then something like "Superman: Confidential".

*shrug*

That's what I figured.

I guess it would mean that Captain Marvel arrived on the hero scene in modern DC continuity before Green Lantern (Hal), Flash (Barry), or Wonder Woman, too, according to Shazam.
