Big G suffers from CIS, i dont think he even needs heralds

I think generally the Heralds serve as insurance policies in case he runs into trouble and as means to conserve his power when he's too weak to find food.

Galactus is like a falconer, and his Heralds are his birds.

Cool way of looking at it that way.

But for shame on REED. HE said he tried everything to cure Ben!

Ask big g or SS to cure him! (Big G seem friendly in this issue)/

I like the theory, but in Godhunter we saw Galactus nearly starve to death, and he didn't even contemplate draining any of his heraldS (plural.) Tbh if he was already in an emaciated state, I doubt taking back the PC from his heralds would give him much of a boost anyway. It would likely be the equivalent of drinking a Red Bull when you're really hungry -- ie. a short-lived pick-me-up followed by the inevitable crash.

Personally I just think that Galactus would rather conserve his energy for more pressing matters, then waste it endlessly scouring the universe for worlds to feed on. With his underlings in place, all he has to do is send them on 'missions', then simply wait for the proverbial dinner bell to ring. Much more efficient.

....Plus if G does begin to starve, his heralds offer an added degree of protection against any threats that may arise.

Has Batman ever worn a Lantern Ring? Like in a what if? or something.
And was it awsome? What were some of the hyperbolic statements from the issue.

And there was also a moment (I think in SCW) where he briefly had a Sinestro Corps ring, because the rings sensed that he was capable of generating great fear.

Bats also used Hal's ring in Green Lantern #9, for a page at the end of the issue..

Ok I have a question... Why is Orion referred to as Darkseid's firstborn? I thought Kalibak was the eldest son.

The Olympian Gods were well established when Darkseid was a young God (Pre-OE).

any scans of this, and what exactly is the third world?

Given my general lack of reading DC comics I need a bit of aid. I have a friend that claim that Superboy Prime, when he first emerged as a villain defeated the entire green lantern corps, the different hero teams on earth, AM, the guardians etc, now I haven't read this but I find this damm hard to believe, can anyone confirm or deny?

Prime didn't defeat the 'entire' GLC, but he did own nearly every GL worth a damn (ie. Hal, Guy, Wog, etc.) I think by the end of IC, Prime had killed 32 Lanterns.

In SCW, Prime (at less than full power, and at night) was slapping around pretty much every hero on DC earth, simultaneously. This should give you a good idea how many heroes he was contending with:

(and more heroes arrived later.)

Prime never beat AM. All he did was throw SC-AM's drastically weakened husk into space. If you're wondering why AM was 'drastically weakened', it's because a galaxy-busting attack had been dropped on his dome-piece moments before.

Prime never defeated any Guardian(s) one on one. But he did tank a few of their blasts, and survive a Guardian's kamikaze attack (an attack which only served to amp him to ridiculous levels.)

Thanks for clearing up my confusion Galan 🙂

So nobody is gonna answer my question huh?

Well to answer your question, Kalibak is the firstborn from his relationship with his first wife Suli who Darkseid really loved and his mother killed. Orion came about later from his relationship and second wife with Tigra, Darkseid grew colder and as a result Orion is more violent. However Darkseid has always favored Orion more since he is much more of a warrior then Kalibak, firstborn can also be used as a first result or product that is worth something, this seems to be the case with Orion.

Thanks man for clearing that up for me. 🙂
