Does anyone know if there are any significant power differences between them?
The Space Armor Mk. III has new integrated tech(inc. omniversal multitasking and productivity software), new modular options, and new AI.

The most obvious difference between the Space Armor Mk. III and previous armors is that the former is capable of deep, deep space travel.

^ no significant power output upgrade then?
thanks

Not from what I've seen.

thanks 👆

Anyone here ever read Elephantmen?

I DL'd the whole series and have read a few issues. I'm strangely intrigued so far, but I don't want to read the other 40+ issues if the story turns to shit.

When was Spectre revealed as God's Wrath?

What do you mean? Like the first time, way back when?

It wasn't until the 3rd volume of the spectre.

Initially his master was "the voice" which wasn't the Presence (God) back then. Which is why at the end of the crisis it's no surprise that spectre was more powerful than his "master", his master wasn't God, it was the voice. Then when he was retconned into being God's Wrath, the voice became the same thing as The Presence. And that's why you see nowadays (like in Phantom stranger) Voice being used interchangeably with God.

Pre-crisis Crisis Spectre wasn't anything special, not God's wrath or anything like that, simply a servant of the voice. And what's funny is that he had ridiculous feats back then as well. He could grow as large as the universe in an instant, summon energies equivalent to a hundred universes, become one with time and travel back to the Big bang whenever he feels like it, (and post crisis before even becoming God's wrath) only a small part of him was able to fight (briefly) the great evil beast (this retcon was confirmed by his who's who bio and a writer's comment in the early issues of spectre v2) while his other part was destroying the universe at the same time.

...which is why they made him into an extremely powerful entity, God's wrath. The same thing applies to Eclipso. He wasn't God's wrath right from his first appearance, it wasn't until his appearances in the 3rd volume of the spectre where he was revealed to be a wrath of God, just like the spectre.

Can you post the scans of this retcon and these feats of spectre you described?

For the first time because he wasn't Wrath of God pre-crisis.

regarding the feats i mentioned:

Spectre v1 #4:

summons the energies of a HUNDRED non-universes:

keep in mind that he did that at half power, since he separated himself into 2 halves in that issue:

Showcase #61:

Grows as large as the universe, and goes to the beginning of creation (the big bang):

he later travels to the big bang again to kill the multi-universal threat Shathan, but to post 1 scan of his fight with Shathan in which his Galaxy-sized punch traveling hundreds of billions light years across space-time

spectre's most impressive showing (imo)

now we know about spectre's battle against the GEB was in swamp thing v2 #50 which was........revealed to be only a small part of himself in the JSA special, same issue where another part of himself was revealed to be destroying the universe:

http://i.imgur.com/HHsLya6.jpg?1
http://i.imgur.com/GXeksNd.jpg?1

Writer commentary from spectre v2 #2 says that the reason he failed to stop the spiritual crisis (GEB affair) was because most of his being was centered in the JSA special (event), in which his essence was destroying the universe:

http://i.imgur.com/hcNGTYj.jpg?1

Same thing said in his personal who's who bio:

http://i.imgur.com/KhYVi7w.jpg?1

.....And what's even more impressive about this feat is that he did that unconsciously while he was in his comatose WEAK state after the Crisis. The writer explains that in the last pages of the JSA special:

http://i.imgur.com/OHcwCAe.jpg?2

And despite all this, a yea later in Spectre v2 #1, it was stated that his power was never used to its full potential:

http://i.imgur.com/o1DuAXI.jpg?1

In short, a small part of him was battling the great evil beast , his other part was (unconsciously) destroying creation. And all that was done while weakened and wasn't his full potential.

This is his most impressive showing imo, there are more feats but im not going to turn this into a spectre respect thread.

What Green Lantern series was after War Of the Green Lantern ?

War of the Green Lanterns was the last GL event in pre-Flashpoint continuity. It was followed by the DCnU/post-Flashpoint installment of Green Lantern, which is volume 5.

I'm pretty sure the first major GL event to follow War of the Green Lanterns(if that is what you're asking) was Rise of the Third Army/Wrath of the First Lantern.

Word thanks . Is there anything I need to read before Rise of the Third Army/Wrath of the First Lantern ?

Lantern continuity wasn't affected by the events of Flashpoint, so if you kept up with GL books prior to the reboot you should be able to hop into the DCnU books and still have your bearings. The arcs themselves are fairly self-contained, and don't require any additional reading for things to make sense.

Just to warn you, though: Rise of the Third Army and Wrath of the First Lantern are terrible for the most part.
