So what if the characters played by black actors have distinguishing characteristics...?
To remake characters (Especially when GL wrote them as non-colour specific) overly heroic and irredeemably inhumanly godlike in their actions constantly, because of the actors who play them being ANY colour would be positive discrimination....
Take Lando for example.. Yes, he did make a few mistakes in Empire, but then he sacrificed his gas facility, risked his life, and went on the run from the empire and blew up the Death Star... Sounds like a balanced
character by the end to me....
All the main characters in SW go through transformations and personal journeys... They start out flawed and then by their actions and choices re-shape their existances and that is what SW is really about....
Robin Darkside I hope you get beat up by a mob of white people. How is it that blacks can make racist comments all day about whites, and people just laugh it off but the second I make a small joke about robbing liqour stores everyone gets all offended. Thre's a double standard and I for one will not stay silent any longer.
