Well, I'm one of the people who prefer to use their imagination on such matters rather than writing love letters to George Lucas and Leland Chand, and get them to make up my mind for me. Oh well.

Anyways, Mider, I agree with you in the basics. But, overwhelming evidence supports that Mace vs. Sidious ended with Mace winning the lightsaber part of the duel. Unlike some people, when it comes to debates, I won't argue against canon, regardless if it contradicts my own personal opinion as a fan.

Likewise, just because he won the lightsaber fight doesn't mean he's more powerful. Sidious is the stronger Force user, and the more powerful fighter overall.

Um, the ROTS Movie for one, the ROTS Novel, and I believe ROTS commentary.

Sexy, you're quite good at naming sources aren't you, you're like a pro. Unfortunately, for you, that isn't adequate in a debate. Please explain how the movie contradicts that fact, where abouts the RotS novel does and how so, and a direct quote from the commentary and an explanation too.

It was Anakin's. Anakin's shatterpoint would not have had an effect on the Mace/Sidious battle. Which meant that Sidious held back once Anakin was approaching.

Sorry guys but I am joining this debate a little late. But is there actually proof that Sidious was not holding back against Mace? I don't remember the ROTS movie clearing it up and have not read the novel or watched the commentary.

There isn't any real proof either way, we're just going at each other with educated and/or uneducated opinions.

Actually it IS adequate. IT was apparent in the movie, and it was backed up by the ROTS novelization, therefore your argument fails, as usual.
