The only thing is is that we have no natural proof to back it up. With Scabbers, he was 12 yrs old when garden rats live abt 3 yrs. We have no idea how old trevor is but I looked up common toads on the net and they can live for fifty yrs plus, so we can't tell from age like we could with scabbers

Neville cant be a guardian for Neville, he seems to try to escape at every given chance.

I think there are alot of unregistered animagi. Death eaters most likely, able to spy easier, without being traced.

A toad's natural habitat would have predators though to shorten their lifespans?

@ Innkeeper -- I agree, I think you'd have to be a right Hermione to register, as long as no one finds you out there's no need to register ((I so wouldn't!))

Voldemorts an animagi, im sure of it. And i doubt hes registered, and as wel all know Voldemort is the man, if you disagree, your wrong.

The Ministry probably gives assistance where needed to those who are going to register.

if your animagus is a phoenix, does it mean you won't die? when you think you are dying just turn into a phoenix and wait for reborn. how cool!

if this stands then the theory about fawkes being Godric Gryffindor. if it doesn't happen, then it's not possible.
