Well, this whole time the only thing I've been arguing is that it's up in the air, and Spidey or Wolvie could beat each other at any given time and it wouldn't be bad writing.

No let me rephrase, I'm consistant, haven't changed my mind ever since I've been here,and I definitley am tenacious, going agaisnt Merc, Jinzin,a nd Cresh at the same time, I just like to make an argument against a character that is overrated, in hopes someone will see new light.

Sure after not reading a Marvel comic in years i dared assumed Wolverine was still a normal human in all aspects like he was around 99' when i grabbed Essential X-Men and saw him routinely have the piss beat out of him by guys alot weaker than Spiderman.

So i missed the widly amazing power-up issues where his body is steel and the point where he got the FTL speed you mentioned excuse me for being outdated and so impressed that he can now take on the entire JLA roster

He doesnt put any feeling into his acting its like:

"No! My brother was just killed in an accident, and then I lost my house to a fire!" 😐

Bottom line: xmen especially wolverine have become gods, from street heroes, going through gay second mutations and such, I liked the street ones better.

The incidents I'm referring to are from comics predating 1999. Hama's run was, I believe, from 1991-1998 or around that.

Sorry to pop your bubble, comics have never been able to follow their own logic all that well.

I'm going to apply the laws of physics to the debate even though they probably don't really apply. This calculation is proabably horribly flawed, but its just an indication of what superior strength can do, Spider-Man is just an example and can be replaced by anybody of superhuman strength levels (I did this in Batman vs Spider-Man - waiting for someone to logically counter me)

30000 lbs = approx 13500 kgs
The force required to lift that is approximately 135000 N
That is Spider-Man's max exertion.
To make my calculation easy I'm going to say Wolverine weights 135 kgs.
That means if Spider-Man lands a blow at max force Wolvie accelerates at about 1000 metres/second squared. That means in one second he has accerated to a speed of 1000m/s or about 3000 feet/second. Spider-Man lands a single punch to the face, Wolvie's in for serious brain trauma.

It might be high time i plugged DC comics right now.They dont have any mutants hogging the spotlight because of movies or getting random power-ups at the flip of a coin and the hurl of a dart at a board[Ok G51 that means Archangel gets healing powers and regeneration]
