Christian Hang out

Cool.

I'm accepting too, although I can't understand the term open-minded any more...I'd be a liar if I said I did..and it's unfortuante because these days there's such a fear of being considered closed-minded because you might have an undying belief in something.

I used to be "open-minded" before God came and grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and said "hey, I'm here"...things kinda changed after that.

I hope you can appreciate that.

I'm what you would call an open-minded Christian. I respect others beliefs as long as they respect mine.

isn't that the right thing to do?

of course.. you'd try to make they Christians too.. but if they don't want to be they.. *shrugs* you can't do anything bout it... you'd just have to respect what they believe in....

right?

Personally, it doesn't matter to me if people respect my beliefs...I'll respect theirs regardless. I don't see it as a "titt for tatt" thing.

I kinda find some Christians who don't respect other people's beliefs interesting. They'll often look down on people who don't accept God into theirs lives...It's like, have these people forgotten that they were once non-Christians?

...........is "yes" is Spanish. We are well aware of this fact. Thank you.

Atleast she don't believe the whole of mankinds existance is based on chance. 🙄

I'm walking on a beach, i see a football, now i could say someone made it, or i could say that nature made it by some big roll of the dice(alot of dices). Which is more likely?

So why did the first life "evolve" atall? "so they can survive, and live" you might say.
Why are we here? "to live" again.
What the? you could make that up that about anything and get away with it! for example:
Why does the thunder strike? So it can strike. 😕
Why does it rain? So it can rain. 😱

I thought it was science? science is supposed to find answers, not blame things on random events or say something for no reason!
NOTHING happens just because it does, but that's what evolution is all about. Making stuff up just because you dun wanna believe in a god.

I figure atheism is actually just as bad as people used to be in medival, but instead of blaming unexplainable stuff on god they blame it on nature because they dun wanna think it's god 🙄

Yeah, you can't force them to become Christians, it's their choice whether they want to be or not to be. But yeah, we have to keep trying.

Why is it the purpose of any religious group to try and “convert” or make others believe in their religion?

Haha, everyones a bad person, even me, nobody's perfect.
You're not a bad person, just confused 😛

Well, firstly, we don't 'make' others believe in our religion, that isn't what we do, it isn't what we are supposed to do. We can't force them to become Christians😬, we just tell them about it and such, and the rest is up to them, whether they want to believe is their choice, of course, we do hope they'll believe.

As to your question, well I don't really know the answer, I'll see if I can look it up and get back to you, if you want me to that is😛

But converting(or trying) doesn't get you any further into heaven than anyone else, people do it cause they think of others ✅ or atleast i do, and i am happy pleasing god by trying, even though it is usually in vain. 🙁

I’m not confused in any way shape or form, I have reasons why I believe the way that I do and didn’t have anyone “train” me to think the way that I do. For me religion is the same as believing in the “Force”, if you wish to believe in religion then that is your right but why try and force others to believe if it is the “right” way and so pure and holy then people should believe on their own.

🙂 By my beliefs you are slightly confused, but i guess by yours so am i. lol

I'm not forcing you into my religion, just:
1. Trying to save you from what i believe is the fate for most non-believers, hell. You don't have to listen atall if you don't want, and if you don't wanna hear it, you don't have to enter such thread 😖
2. Sticking up for my religion

1) true, it's your choice Pitt, you can listen to someone trying to convert you, it's your choice, not the other person's

What I don't understand about certain "Christians" is that they think everything they're saying is right and that it can't be any other way. What if we, as Christians, are wrong? What if the non-beleivers, Atheists, are right? Have any of you opened your mind once and ever thought about that??

Sticking up for your religion and your beliefs is fine, but “go forth and multiply” and “bring others into the flock” means that you must go out and preach your beliefs. If someone comes to you and asked for information, that is one thing but saying that I’m evil or that I’m wrong and preaching to me is not. Many religions will send out missionaries and try to convert other people, they didn’t ask for it, yes they can not listen but why should they have to make that choice.

Also this really should be in the Religion forum.

It's the other person's choice to try and get them to listen to their beliefs, though...

Because we don't believe what atheists do 😖 we believe there is a god and are loyal to our god. It's easy for atheists because they have nobody to be loyal to!
