Who is the most powerful jedi/sith?

I'd consider Sidious, Kun and Marka in the top three personally...people overrate Nihilus a bit much. If he ever took on a force user of Marka's caliber...

Wrong. There are far better arguments for Palpatine and Kun, as LS has said. You don't even have a fifth of that argument for Ragnos. So until such a time where you get overwhelming proof, then Ragnos isn't the most powerful.

I know all about Kun, I have argued extensively for and against him. But I would never put him on the same plateau as Ragnos.

Ragnos kept people under his rule for 100 years. Sidious did it for 20 years, eventually being WTFPWNED!!11!! by a broken man. Sidious had one sith under him. Ragnos had millions who could all kill Luke. (Movie, whiny Luke) Now if that isn't power, then I'm a woman.

I'd put them in the same league, it's hard to determine who's more powerful (force wise). But in my eyes, Kun would destroy him in a saber/sword battle.

Now I'll add another part. Marka Ragnos ruled the Sith at the height of their power. He exhibited an ability to hold sway over Naga Sadow, who later proved himself a very able Sith by coming close to destroying the Republic. He was able to destroy a star. Even though he had help from a ship, that was something comparable to Kun, who did the same thing. And who was stronger than Naga? Marka. Kun's most powerful feat was done identically to Marka's APPRENTICE who didn't have the balls to even challenge Marka on his deathbed because he was scared of Marka. Poof enough?

Actually, it was Aleema who replicated the feat.
