All Frank needs is his sniper rifle.

::Batman sits perched atop a stone gargoyle overlooking the city of Gotham--his home, his sanctuary, his nightmare. Suddenly, he hears a siren blaring. Cop cars, probably chasing some petty thief. But there's no reason to chance it. Batman stands up and reaches for his Bat-cable when suddenly he hears a shot from a long distance and then...::

::Frank's lips slowly crease into a smirk as he witnesses the great and god-like Batman's head pop like a water balloon. He pulls the sniper scope along with the gun away from his eye and blows on the smoke from the long barrel. He dismantles his sniper rifle and places the pieces in a briefcase then easily lifts it up from the ground. Taking one last look at his sniping perch in a building located about 200 yards from where Batman was perched, Frank smirks again and walks through the door and on to another target.::

anyone can be defeated in an ambush scenario. ur arguement holds no weight whatsoever. if bats ambushes punisher, punisher will fall like a sack of bricks.

if they see each other coming, pun gets his ass handed to him.

I really don't think it will be that easy. Punisher may be mostly guns, but he's got the experience and martial arts training to hang with the big boys as well. He wouldn't be instantly defeated as soon as Bats got up close. Punisher could definitely give him a good fight, as well as employ maybe knives, grenades, and other closer-range weapons.

i really hope he doesnt employ grenades as closer ranged weapons.

When I say "Closer-range", I don't exactly mean that every weapon listed under that must be within a 1-foot-radius of the attacker. I just meant something that's not a gun that can shoot from hundreds of feet. If Bats was maybe, I dunno, 30-50 feet away and Punisher saw an opportunity, I wouldn't put it past him to lob a grenade where he knows Batman is hiding.

Yeah, cause no one's ever lobbed a grenade at Batman before...

So what!?!? This isn't someone, this is punisher!lol

Oh yeah sorry I forgot that punisher telepathically controls his ranged weaponry.

batman kills punisher in like a second. this thread stupid

Punisher shoots Batman in the face. Batman dies. Regular f**king thugs have shot Batman before.

Batman wins eventually, but he's going to feel like shit for the next couple of weeks.

yea I guarentee Batman knows more martial arts then the punisher
the punisher is what i call a gun-star hero and is a superhero wannabe if you ask me....
hes definetly a hero but there is nothing super about someone who can shoot people....

Batman Wins

Hey guys. I was bored today at work so I went looking for forums on Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects (game or comic, I didn't care - I wanted more info). Well, I didn't find what I was looking for, but I found this forum, which is awesome. You guys seem to really know your proverbial sh!t, so this is gonna be THE forum for me from now on.

I'm sure a lot of people cared about what I just said. Anyway, sorry to go off topic, so here's my take on Punisher/Batman: I don't know. Honestly, I thought I knew - I thought Batman was an easy winner. Some of the pro-Punisher stuff has really got me thinking, and I'm trying to avoid paying too much attention to the things DC has trained me (and other comic readers) to think (ie, Batman always wins).

I read one of you say Batman took a punch from Superman and got up or something to that extent. I think this Batman thing has gotten out-of-control. I would think that a punch from Superman would turn a normal man (even one as supercool as Batman) to goo. I don't see how, aside from Kryptonite, Batman could even touch a guy as fast as him.

I know this is a Punisher/Batman fight, and I'm not going off-topic; I'm merely trying to point out how hard it is to reference certain comic events (the Hulk/Odin with no magic thread was fought practically by these references alone at one point) and use them to make sense of one of these battles.

Honestly, I don't know. Batman seems like he'd be in a lot of trouble here, but somehow, that dastardly Batman always finds a way to use the environment to destroy his opponent. Like, Frank would be whooping his @$$, and then, he'd step in a puddle and Batman would somehow throw some electric gizmo and fry his @$#. Far fetched? Sure. But isn't everything in comics, when you really think about it?

Then again, Punisher seems pretty resourceful, too...

Thanks for joining us, you have a cool name too.

But let me reaffirm your prioir beleifs. Have you read Punisher by Ennis? In it he deals with Elektra, he says she can take him out at any time she wanted to (she was sneaking ahead of him and killing all the people he was going to kill.) Now not only is Batman a better fighter than Elektra, He's also a better ninja, and has way more tech on his side. If Punisher saw him once it'd be the last time.

As for that Batman taking a punch from Supes, it did happen, but it was a weakened superman and he was ready for it so there's no telling what kind of armor he was wearing.

batman wins...for various reasons posted above

Welcome to the forums IDealinDreams.

Punisher is one tough mother who rivals Batman for strategic planning, and can brawl viciously, taking a lot of hits to land the one he wants. But I think Bats has the edge in overall skill, and won't get as emotional as Daredevil does - his contempt for Frank gets him too angry - and so long as he wears his best kevlar, he can win out in a loooonngg fight. Alfred will be working on his back and joints for weeks, though.

I say it would be a long fight too, but bats is not use to killing people the way frank is...Frank uses deadly force much more than bats...IMO frank would catch bats in the head with a bullet, maybe after bats doges a couple of grenades...and don't use the agrument that bats doges bullets all the time, yes he does but this is from people other than the punisher, the punisher is an excellent marksman and has even hit spidermans webshooters out then shot him in the chest with a mercy bullet...spiderman is much more agile than bats...

if robin comes from behind and slaps him then batman wins
