True Thor was beating Hulk like a pinata in the first two pages but the writer gave no claim that it was the artist's fault that Hulk was damaged as he was. He however did blame it on the artist for Thor being as damaged.
And again, why does this fight even matter? This was an incorrect memory in Banner's head. Even if it wasn't, Thor has killed both the Hulk and Thing in combat. It changes nothing.

well then by ur interpretation of the kmc rules guys like Spiderman will lose to DD b/c of how he choices to fight DD rather then his constant depiction of fighting a similar character who has nothing to lose or gain due to popularity.
many times a character is written out of his personality in crossovers and one shots rather then his actual constant representation within his own comics. it is done mostly for sale reasons and to even them out when otherwise they would not be.
