Thor vs. Hulk

The climax of the lengthy "The Ruling" storyline, had him killing Deask in the Destroyer armour, and using Zarkko's time-travel tech to go back to his past self when he became King, warning him not to do his mistakes with ruling Earth and such. So with that, that version of Thor would ceast to exist, and the present Thor would not get into the confrontation that led him to lose an arm in the fight against the heroes. This Thor goes on to become Rune King Thor.

Okay thanks for clarifying that. 🙂

It still looks like that Thor had at least one eye gouged out though he probably doesn't. Regardless, we still don't see how Hulk died and a tree simply couldn't account for it. It's too ambiguous IMO.

I was looking back and I saw the argument about Thor holding back against the Hulk. I think I can not only prove that wrong but that Hulk holds back when fighting most of the time.

He belives he has shown his superiority to Thor, so he stops fighting while Thor admits he was lost in the battle thanks to his Ego: http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/2883/thormt385q1wi.jpg

Another time Hulk smashes Thor into a hole in the ground, and then walks away. He has to know that Thor isn't dead: http://img159.exs.cx/img159/4041/thorih2001b5ku.jpg

Hulk vs. Norvell. Hulk stops multiple swings from Norvell's hammer. (Norvell and his hammer are equal in power to Thor and Mjolnir.) IH #422 (D: I'm not sure about the claim to them being equal, but it looks close. And this is a Hulk holding back too. Unfortunately I don't have access to my comics to verify the end of this fight)

Hulk vs. Thor IH #440 - (D: Cut to when Thor stops 'Holding back' and after)

Grey Hulk vs. "Pineapple" Thing, round two. Thing, having just beaten Doom's robot Hulk, is confronted by the real deal once more. IH #350. (D: Again, cut to the Holding Back part, even Fixit wants to prov he's better without Killing his 'rivals'😉

And while I do not have access to my comics right now, RIGHT AFTER finding out that the Abomination was the one to kill Betty in a government lab, Hulk still holds back and doesn't kill the soldiers around him despite them spraying him with bullets and a flamethrower to the face.

And the fact that he hasn't killed hundreds of thousands of soldiers at this point also speaks for his holding back. A Bloodlusted Hulk won't be doing that.

OT: Thor comments on how limitless Hulk's strength seems 😄 http://img78.echo.cx/img78/5857/thormt385n4pr.jpg

Another scene of Hulk saying how much angrier he's gotten supporting Unlimited Rage: http://img145.exs.cx/img145/4783/genis5qn.jpg Remember, with Gamma mutants, it's all about Self Image.

Hulk's not a mutant.

Lots of characters have commented the Hulk seems to have unlimited strength. Still exists only as theory. I don't see him lifting anything without some effort.

There's a reason for that: he doesn't have immediate acces to his strength. He can reach it through escalating adrenaline. Fortunately, it grows geometrically in proportion to his anger.

Notice what I typed: "Gamma mutant"

Not Mutant, mutant. Hulk is a mutant like Spiderman, not a Mutant like Wolverine.

And yes he does have unlimited strength, it doesn't mean he is All-Powerful the first minute.

And Thor commented on that Limitless strength 😄

Hulk should tell us how getting killed by a one armed god while you jumped him feels 😖hifty:

So you continue to ignore proof and make snarky comments, as you were so happy going on about, we don't KNOW how he 'died' so assuming THor was jsut that badass is jsut as wrong as assuming that THor used unearthly powers to do it. It's too ambiguous.

I showed Hulk holding back when THor admitted he wasn't, Twice. If you can't accept that then it's just as useless trying to debate with you as it was the first time. I DID try though, no one can deny that.

Too bad the Penalty for trolling isn't as well known.

Of course on a board that apparently doesn't belive that Hulk's dynamic strength has no limit despite gobs of evidence, I guess arguing against it counts as trolling.

Hulk's not a mutant in the same sense as the X-Men (born with an X-gene and all), but Bruce's gamma-irradiated transformation should technically be considered a mutation.

Also, Marvel has stated Hulk has unlimited strength time and time again. Not to mention there's the fact that he's never failed to perform a strength feat.

What type of Hulk is it right now? I was reading Planet Hulk and he seems to be able to think.

PH-Hulk is a pansy.

It's hard to say. The incarnations are so damn confusing at times.

He failed to stop Thor from killing him 😕

What's that have to do with any thing?

You know , when I get the Billion dollars god owes me (Just for being alive) I'm going to buy out Marvel.

Then I'm going to erase Hulk from existence .

Why ?

Because he is such a useless one sided character who causes any simple thread to go two ways.

Curb-stomp OR stupidly long debate about 'How Hulk is the strongest their ever is' when theirs blatant evidence his opponenet can kill him
