lulz what r u talking about? Hulk is one of my favorite characters and im very sure i have more of his comics than u do. The writers and creators at marvel have written many thor and hulk fights and practically all of them thor has had the edge. Even when bannerless hulk went on a rampage and had destroyed the avengers, thor had the upper hand in their battle. Im not using any "vision" of how i would go because ive read all the comics theyve fought in and know how the fights went. And for the most recent portrayal are u referring to the Red hulk fight? because if u had continued reading loebs horrible work u wud see that thor actually came back and defeated red hulk rather easily. Regardless red hulk is even irrelevant here cuz he isnt the hulk in question. If u feel like disregarding what happens in comics and believing what u see in movies THAT is up to you.
Ironically, Thor is my all-time favorite char and I've been reading his comics since the late 1980s (stopped around the late 1990s). My collection isn't 100% complete as I only bought whenever the comics became available as I never subscribed (wasn't available where I lived back then). All my Thor comics woul be dust now as I'm more of a read and throw away kinda guy. I still have my Silver Surfer #1 tho. I've just recently started collecting comics again and so far, in the comics I've read and the movies I've seen, Hulk keeps beating down Thor.
I'd like to see the scans of these comicbook panels that CLEARLY show that Thor had the upper hand in 1v1 fights. If you want to convince me that I'm wrong, then show me these panels then.

Thor is Hulk's punching bag 😆

Here is Thor versus Banner less Hulk, as you can see, Thor is holding back like he "always" does against Hulk, because of his moral code and because Banner is an innocent soul etc., but you can see what happens when he starts using his true strength. Notice that he takes Hulks blows and doesn't budge, that's one of the strongest incarnations of Hulk ever seen. The Banner less Hulk I mean. Either way, see for yourself:
Thanks for the panels. Was a good read for me. 🙂 Sadly, none of them show a clear winner between the two or any kind of "easy" victory for Thor in any respect. Both scans simply shows that Thor beats up on Hulk at the beginning and Hulk keeps coming back for more and keeps getting stronger. Dr. Strange kinda beat the Hulk here, not Thor.
Second set of scans only shows Hulk losing interest in the end. Don't really see a clear winner here, more like a stalemate. And the Hulk kinda has the advantage in any stalemate, as he has incredible healing abilities and steadily growing strength.
The part where Hulk made Thor put away his hammer was kinda out of character for Hulk to outsmart Thor like that, too. Lol. Without his hammer, Thor got beat down, tho.
I dunno, different interpretation for you and for me perhaps?

Thor didn't get beat down without the hammer. It was a stalemate, they kept going back and forth, and each kept on coming back.
I have more fight's, that I have been to lazy to post lol and I believe one of the fights is incomplete to an extent lol. Ask me and I'll upload more lol.
The point I'm trying to make is that Thor has shown to have the advantage with the hammer, by Hulk's own admission, and he has knocked out the Hulk before with his hammer.
Thor has also shown that while not holding back his strength, he can take on, and even send the strongest incarnation of Hulk (To an extent) flying with a blow.
In a fist fight, Hulk should have the advantage in my own personal opinion, to an extent, because Thor has shown that he can stalemate him and it is debatable.
When you throw in the hammer and Thor's versatile power set, Thor should win the clear majority.
That's my opinion at least.
Looks like a beatdown to me, tho. He ended up crawling out of the hole that the Hulk punched him into. And yeah, I don't argue that Thor can't hurt the Hulk. He can, easily. Damage the Hulk can heal back.
Just saying that most of their fights were stalemates and that in any stalemated fight, Hulk has the clear advantage as he heals incredibly fast (unlike Thor) and gets stronger as the fight goes on.
Though I DO see one panel where Thor was the clear victor by using a Lightning Bolt on the Hulk.
You call that a beat down.
Thor got right back up, even though Hulk continuously pounded on him, and he only had a bruised eye, a bloody lip and was more than willing to keep on fighting.
Hell, Hulk said "No, not the hammer" when Mjolnir returned. He knows, that with it, Thor could and would beat him.
Thor has shown that even when at a disadvantage, he can take anything Hulk can dish and keep on coming.
What is your definition of a beat down, because this certainly isn't mine:
