i obviously used the wrong word when i said w/out an atmosphere. but you cannot sim ply take the atmosthere away from earth. and for storm making a cloud takes seconds. and yes, storm was on the team in unc. # 17. it was when iceman, jean and bishop were all trapped in masterminds head and the x-cutioner attacked. storm ignited the electrons around X as to electrify the air around him. this attack was so powerful it broke through his shield and he had to teleport away

actually they were fighting to see if storm was fit to be a leader of the x-men when she lost her powers
Yes, I know. Cyclops wanted to get away from X-Men to start an family with Jean. He subscouncily wanted to lost.
When Xavier had left the school in Magneto’s care, Cyclops felt that he should lead the X-Men, as a powerless Storm clearly was unable to do the job. Storm challenged him to a Danger Room duel and, surprisingly, she won. She had been focussed on the job while he was not, distracted by the troubles his rejoining the team would cause his marriage. See? Case closed.
and that fight was also years and years ago and anyone with common knowlege would see storm would win now. if they were to fight, storm could create a pressure field around herself while locking on to his electrical field to shut-down his heart. fry the synapses in his brain. flash-freeze his body. send the power of the sun at him, suffocate him. really the list goes on and on.
uncanny x-men # 17 the 64 page annual, printed in 1993. that is the issue.
