I have great respect for the d-day operation. It was not the cleanest but was held together.

infact its fair to say it was a succesful disaster, the beaches everyone landed on was wrong and the stuff didnt work and the amount of people that got killed

Indeed. What is the word I'm looking for....damn its like when you won but lost so much that you basically lost too.

Damn thats going to bug me till I figure it out.

Yeah, like a paint-ball fight.... Continue to throw paint-balls (troops) and although many will burst (die) Many will hit and weaken the enemy (The enemy)...

Yeah... I'll shut up

No.. I'm not joking... 😐

For the Canadians:

I think Churchill said:

"Give me British Officers, Canadian Soldiers and American equipment and I will win you any war"

Churchill in WW1 made some HORRIBLE mistakes. I can't imagine why he was kept as prime-minister......not even to mention the stuff he took from Stalin in the 2nd WW, kissing his @ss like a good little dog

Yeah I think thats it. But I do believe we spell it differently.

So operation sealion completely different from D-Day it didnt even happen

He wasnt "kept" as PM he wasnt ellected till after WWII began and he often warned the Americans that Stalin would try to grab eastern europe after the war.

yes but it was just a staging point. I'll not say it wasn't worth it, because I would be doing a great injustice to all who died there no matter which side they were on.

he was the one that on the 9th of september 1943 (i think) met in secrecy with Stalin and on a napkin wrote down how Europe will be divided between England and Russia. He gave Stalin everything he asked for and more.
