His speeches during the London V2 bombardments are indeed legendary. however, i don't see him as anything other than a good oralist.

he was the one that on the 9th of september 1943 (i think) met in secrecy with Stalin and on a napkin wrote down how Europe will be divided between England and Russia. He gave Stalin everything he asked for and more.

much the same as hitler in many respects when it came to inspiration but he let the Russians off with too much for example the Russians had a precence in Poland.

Indeed but we seem to have forgotten the great anti German plans that had been put in place should the Nazis ever invade, they where genius.

No, i don't blame churchill for that. I don't even blame FDR and his poor character, even though he was terminally ill when he signed the final papers. But after the Iron Curtain fell, things could've been changed. But no, i'm blaming Churchill for not being a better strategist.

Yes they were great plans... but there is great scepticism of whether they would have stopped the Nazis

That's true. But it would've been the same if someone with a better strategic mind was in his place and he was writing the speeches.

no they wouldnt have stoped them but they would have showed that we where willing to fight in every village,in every street from every rooftop

Yeah that is true...

I liked the fact that the were specially training people to protect the home front

Hell if someone tried to just walk thru the streets in most of the cities in texas they might be in for one hell of a fight. We have guns like the french have reasons to surrender....they are just lying all over the place.
