Stop judging martial arts on a video game.Traditional TKD focuses more so on flair, technique and range than actually attacking. Although that is obviously incorporated.
Hence why kicks are more of a focal point.
Most teachers nowadays incorporate a much larger mix of upper and lower body attacks.
I've been taught in both, so I can use both. But I prefer my kicks.

god, do you really want the honest truth? Ninjitsu is a fighting and assasination art developed by thieves, murderers, rapists, assassins, and rebels. it advocates no morals other than accomplishing a goal at any cost. Muay Thai/Lerdrit is a killing art developed by a prince for for the army of siam. the sammurai were often corrupt and no more morally superior than the knights of europe in the middle ages. better?

I strongly think they have. Most have lost their traditional touch anyways. They're distorted into self defense stuff when most have more of a philosophical meaning to them.Just wanted to know what you guys thought about it.
The only reason a person in the mordern world would join a Martial Art is for self defense, I'm sure those requesting knowledge of the the philosophy of the martial art could just ask the sensai, I'm sure he'd comply.
