I think he said he can stop living there once he ends 7Th year, and becomes a mature man...

But yeah, Dumbeldore has big secrets and I'm sure about it. Maybe some of them will be revealed to us in the 7th book...

That is incorrect. The protection spells that Dumbledore cast on the house would last until Harry turned 17 years old, which is at the beginning of the summer.

However, do you remember how the paralyzing spell that Dumbledore cast on Harry lifted once Dumbledore died? Since this happened, is it safe to assume that the protection spells will also lift? In that case, there would be no need for Harry to go back to the Dursley's...

oh i didnt think about that, and he wouldnt have to go back to get his things because he takes all his things to hogwarts with him. but isnt the protection from his mothers love? since dumbledore isnt the source of the protection maybe it hadnt been lifted when he died?

Well back to DD killing someone and having a horcrux... remeber back to the first book.. when harry is on the train and he buys the chocolate frogs and gets the DD card and it says "he famous for his defeat of the great dark wizard grindelwald back in 1945"

I really don't think DD would make a horcrux, even if he did defeat (kill) a dark wizard it is a lot more than that. It is actually ripping your soul apart. Think about living with part of your soul gone. Remember in PoA they said when a dementor sucks out your soul it's worse than death.

well Snape had to kill Dumbledore... cause he was under the vow thingy.... so yeah Malfoy was not going to Kill him he didnt have the heart! and so yeah Maybe Dumbldore was telling Snape to kill him cause he wants him to continue with the whole thing for the Order, and all of the Death Eaters would have killed Snape if he just took Malfoy and left...

it is a biggy with Snape... i want the other book now!

Well, one thing's for sure. Dumbledore knew his time was coming. He knew he was going to get killed. Why else did he have Harry learn about the horcruxes???

Ill tell ya why in the hands of Snape... he was under the Unbreakable Vow. and no Malfoy was not going to kill Dumbledore.... he didnt have the heart..... and so Snape would have died any ways if he had just taken Malfoy and left the death eaters would have killed him... or Voldemort... and i kinda think that Dumbledore was asking Snape to kill him... so Snape could continue on with the Order.... But now the Ministry is going to be after him....

i agree

good point

He didn't kill Dumbledore because of the unbreakable vow. Dumbledore wasn't even going to harm that stupid bloke. Snape was most likely ordered to kill Dumbledore, by the Headmaster himself.

not likely. not a smart thing to do on DD part. why ask that of Snape? Besides, Snape's actions clearly indicate that he was acting of his own free will

Yes Snape was acting under his own free will, but not at first. Dumbledore ordered Snape to kill him. Harry was frozen, so he saw Snape kill Dumbledore, which would get him motivated to destroy the horcruxes.

you don't know that. DD was pleading. what for, I suppose is debateable. Harry had plenty of motivation, he didn't need DD to die to give him incentive.

But remeber Bellatrix said that it takes a great amount of hate to kill someone. And if Snape is good, than he wouldnt hate DD.

obviously Snape isn't good then

Not necessarily. Snape may loath Dumbledore, but he would never betray him. Dumbledore believed him, and I don't think Snape wouild betray him like that. He knew Malfoy was up to something, he would obviously know if Snape was up to something.

Dumbledore was human, and therefore prone to mistakes. His trust in Snape could have been misplaced. And Snape is very talented at hiding his true thoughts, he could fool DD if he wanted to

Then explain what Dumbledore was talking about when he said that he (Snape) agreed to it, and he would have to see it through.
