I don't. I think Snape is with the Order, and was under orders by DD to kill him. Does anyone agree with me and this theory???

The only problems I see with this are:

1) Why would he take the Unbreakable Vow?

2) Do you really think Snape would be able to outsmart Voldemort?

3) Do you really think that if Snape were 'good', he would be capable of murdering Dumbledore?

First of all, he didn't want to see Malfoy die, since he is his favorite student. And he would have to to make it less suspicious if he was still with the Order.
2.) Do you really think Snape can fool Dumbledore, when the Dark Lord himself couldn't fool Dumbledore fifty years ago when the Chamber was opened?
3.) He was with the Death Eaters before he sought the post of Defense Against the Dark Arts, so I would say yes, but he I believe was under orders to kill the Headmaster by Dumbledore himself.

1) Narcissa and Bellatrix thought that Snape wouldn't take the Vow at all. They weren't even supposed to be at his house, according to Bellatrix, so why should he go out of the way and take the Vow, risking his life? Also, Malfoy was a Death Eater. If Snape was truly good, I doubt he would have saved his life.

2) Tom was young then, still at school... inexperienced.

3) This is the one that throws me off the most. I highly doubt that Dumbledore would have ordered Snape to kill him. I mean, what is the sense in that?

I don't know. There are too many loose ends to believe this theory. I need to think it all over.... and possibly re-read the book. 🙂

It was said that Snape was a highly skilled Occlumens and Legilimens, I'm sure he could hide what he was really doing from Dumbledore. Plus you can't forget Dumbledore's weakness -- his determination to always believe the best in people.

I've read the book three times already and there is not one bit in there that makes me believe that Snape is not truly a Death Eater and is still working for the Order.

Doesn't mean a thing. Dumbledore knows more magic then Snape, and could read his thoughts i bet. Why do you think he, Dumbledore trusted him. And how do you explain what Hagrid overheard???????????

Doesn't mean a thing. Let's say for example, the Dark Lord put the Imperius Curse on Snape, do you really think Snape could break out of it? The Dark Lord knows more about the Dark Arts than Snape. I'm surprised he isn't dead right now, for not returning when the Dark Lord returned. I don't believe that he was working for the Dark Lord. No one could defy the Dark Lord and get away with it, now can they? Look what happened to Regulus. He tried to get out, or so Sirius thought anyway...

I think snape could break out of it......... Harry did.....

Why do people think snape couldn't fool voldemort but could fool dumbledore?

I don't think that.

But the Dark Lord's Imperius Curse would be stronger than the one the imposter put on Harry during the lesson. He has more hate, and killed more than Crouch Jr. so thus his Imperius curse would be stronger.

i dont think that 😕

Snape can't fool either of them! Dumbledore is too smart to be fooled by lies. Just the same with the Dark Lord. No one can fool him, well besides Dumbledore. Which may I add for the umpteenth time, Snape is still on the Order's side. He would never betray Dumbedore.

only kill him i doubt the order will welcome him bak after this .......

what evidence do you have that DD wasn't wrong about Snape? of course he'd betray the order

what about what Hagrid overheard, does that mean anything to you guys at all??? Oh was he just talking about making Harry pass Defense Against the Dark Arts or what???

If it was something that insignificant, JKR wouldn't have put it in the book.

we don't know. but we can't assume they were talking about the unbreakable vow or Snape killing him or whatever. why don't you read the interview with Rowling on Mugglenet.com? it's rather obvious Snape is bad

I"ve read it, and I don't think she's suggested anything. I still believe he's with the Order. I highly, highly doubt that he could fool Dumbledore.
