EU is silly sometimes... and I much prefer the story in the movies to anything the EU has offered. And I prefer watching movies to reading books, playing games, etc.

Totally agree with you.

Except for the book part, books are good, but the EU Luke is a whinier little pussy than movie Luke. And Han and Lando's characters just aren't the same.

Indeed, movies have better stories. Heir to the Empire trilogy has a great story too, as does KOTOR.

That book trilogy is really good, I got all three of them five or 6 years ago and read them in about 2 days....KOTOR I haven't played yet because my computer hates me.

But so many of the books are just silly, the characters just seem odd, they invent the most ridiculous stuff....and there are ones that are just flat-out terrible. There are good ones, but there are also bad ones.

Too true. If you haven't, don't EVER read the NJO series, it will almost kill anyone's love of Star Wars. Unifying and Living Force 🤨

I've read most of them.....very disappointing for the most part. A few here and there were okay, but they just seemed so far removed from the movies.

The Living Force is a concept presented by the movies, actually. Qui-Gon's view of the Force is Living. Everyone else is Cosmic in the movies, though Cosmic ain't canon.

Cosmic is Canon! It's from a GL interview where he described the two branches of the Force. Any talk of 'Unifying' is EU.
