Predators vs Elites

I never denied that, but the preds still have the advantage in close quarters, which was the point I was making, their physical strengths are comparable.

lol MC dragged that with ease didn't he only have one hand on it??? elites still have shield for predators to worry about. elites kill preds in one hit. preds need loads of hit to break an elite shield. darkstorm this is getting silly now. your obvious love of predators has blinded you to some simple truths.

Since when do Elites kill pred's in one hit? and I already pointed out that Elite's arn't the only ones with shields...

Killing humans is nothing. Elites have more strength and you know it. predators are strong, but no predator could drag that bomb.
yes some have shields not all... EVERY SINGLE ELITE HAS SHIELDS.

I'm a big fan of both. So much of a fan even I haven't watched Aliens vs Predators so not to ruin my passion with a crappy film.

yes yes predators can do "x" alone... elites could do most of it too.

you tell me one area where predators have a definite advantage.

ALL Elites have SHIELDS.
Elites have better guns.
Elites have vehicles.
All fights for Elites are wars. predators are more skirmish

Some more comical advantages.
Elites are better looking.
Elites don't collect dirty inanimate objects.
Elites would kill children. (honour stops predators)
Elites don't sound like crickets normaly.

Elites have vehicles. (The covenant have better vehicles, NOT the elites... Anyways this is irrelevant since it was stipulated that Elites don't get vehicles.)

Mystical strength? you havn't played concrete jungle have you? And your assuming that Elites have more strength... yet I see strength feats for predators and none other than Tank flipping for Elites... Tell me again who has Mystical strength?

Elite shields are crap and YOU know it... if it can't stand up to susstained MG fire for more than a second (And it cannot), how will it stand up to exploding plasma energy? not well at all...

Elites have honur. They repect the prohpets and the Arbiter because that's their religion.

Ok, Comjecture again, what makes you think Predator Technology wouldn't evolve in 500 years time?

Vehicles have been RULED OUT Arbiter, there's no use debating them, and as I have stated before, even if you did have them, Predator Military Hydras would utterly own them.

Brutes fear elites? Right, is that when they slaughtered them all over High Charity?

Brutes jumped the elites went they had no clue what was about to happen. And we can't see their tech in 500 years now can we?

I'm going to say preds have the upperhand in skill and cunning...

Exactly... So the point of this debate was utterly meaningless then... If the Preds can match them with the tech they have now, imagine what it would be like in 500 years.

So that whole fight all over the latter part of Halo 2 was just Elites getting jumped? If the Elites are as powerful as you say, they should have suppressed the Brutes within minutes.

oh and lets not forget that Tartarus was flinging Elites like baseballs al over the last fight. On his own!

predators best gun is the sholder cannon... Elites is the fuel rod gun.
seeing as its you that stipulated that elites have no vehicles, ill ignore it. Or do I get to chose something the preds can do with out??
Wars require a great deand on resorces, ligistics, comunication and tactical planning. solo hunts require very little. people who fight was gain alot of expierince in mility planing and tactial procedure.

Apart from flipping tanks, as I know thats just too much proof for you, so you ignore is as a game mechanic. lets ignore predators strength as a one off game mechanic. Elites are on a near par with master chief. (as told by the book, which you have read) Master chief as standard is much stronger then any man, hes then given improved strength from his upgrades and then his strength is doubled when in his suit. easily in the 50+ ton mark. thats what we are told.... so elites must be nearly as strong as master chief at 50+tons, predators can do what that requires alot of strength?
Now doubting thomas I'll ask bungie to put a gym in the next game so you can see what they can bench press....

predators don't have any automatic weapons. elites shields recharge after a few seconds so they could take some shots kill a predator and then wait for there shields to come back.

preditor tech hasn't evolved in the past 500 years why should it start now???

Tartarus had a shield that made him immune to the Elite's attacks. Plus that hammer is very hightech able to throw anything over 50 feet. And the Elites have yet to use their full force against the humans. They're winning the war, why would they need to?

Thats utterly debatable Arbiter... Since when are they "Winning" anything, they lost two of their most important objectives, suffered a coup and have defected from the Covenenant. "Winning" is hardly the term I'd use in that respect.

No, Not angry, tired of useless posts though, it's obvious that you cannot debate intelligently, you basically resort to flaming to try and get you opponent to relent.

Lets see now your first point is the fact that you think Preds would go down in a single hit, since when? Elites don't get the Fuel Rod Cannon, since only Grunts used those. Don't give the Elites unsolicited technology and then the debate would actually be accurate. the weapons Elites use are as follows:
Plasma Rifles
Plasma Carbines
Needlers
Plasma Grenades
Energy Swords

I never made the stipulation that vehicles should be out, Grevious did, thank you very much (Resorting to putting words into my mouth now)

The Stregth issue: Well if his unsuited, un upgraded strength is only 25, I'd say that Elites can lift approx-23 tonns, And as yet I have not seen this strength in action... I gess for being so strong they must not know how to use it very well, what with the clubbing and all they still take 2 to 3 hits to put down a normal soldier, I smell an incoinsistency...

And other than certain respects, how do you know Pred tech hasn't evolved over the past 500 years? And Automatic weapons? Since when was that a prerequisite for doing considerable damage?

Let's look at the history of the war:
-Elites have destroyed Reach (Earth's strongers military base) without much trouble
-Elites have whipped out most of the SPARTANs all but a few
-A single Elite can kill the best squad of marines
-The Humans are on the defense 87% of the time
-A small fleet is tearing through Earth's defenses

And if you want to say that Elites didn't do all that alone go ahead because Grunts and Jackals can't win a fight without an Elite. 30 Grunts would run in fear against 10,000 marines but if a single Elite leads them into battle they will charge at full strength showing that Elites are powerful because other wise the Grunts would run.

Plus Elites had to fight the Hunters in a war. Hunters. A Predator can never dream of defeating a Hunter. And Hunters in Halo moved in pairs and Hunters in their war moved in herds.

What the heck does that proove? and what proof have you that Preds can't defeat hunters? Your starting to sound like you support anything from halo because you like the game Arbiter... From what you just said 30 grunts and 1 elite could take our 10,000 + marines... right.

I read it, but the implied meaning of it was that because an elite is there, Grunts know no fear... I already understood that part, it;s irrelevant, since it's Elites ON THEIR OWN, no other races of the covenant are involved, so that point is somewhat wasteful
