Predators vs Elites

when did preds use those weapons? and i have a question for hit an miss earlier you said that you hadnt watched AVP but then you said the predators technology hadnt advanced for the last 500 years. the only time you see predators past is in avp where they show the flashback of them fighting off aliens right?

Therefore we can assume they wouldn't upgrade much more....

Plasma burns through class A titanium. a predator would be melted pretty quick...
I think they can use the fuel rod gun. I'm pretty sure arbitor picked it up. they only put it on a few lvls in the game.

The inconsistency is the marines in the game. there are some that are impossible to kill. most go down from a head shot. they die off pretty quickly in the books.

Elite shielding..... the most basic elite shield would require 6-7 shoulder cannon shots to burn though. presuming there cannon is on a par with the plasma rifle damage wise. then it would require at least 3 more shots to kill an elite. All higher up elites have better shielding, and would require more and more damage. However the best feature of there shielding is it recharges after 5 seconds. Elites shield don't go down from 1 second of machine gun fire like you said. It takes at least 5 seconds presuming your duel wielding, and hit nearly all your shots. thats because there advanced bullets compared today. A predator could not take even a quater of that firepower.

I own extinction for the xbox. and what you keep talking about is "Never-before-seen predators"(quote from the back) The tech created for a game. were most of it has never been heard of in the predator world. wana still talk about game feats.....

Vanguard.... "Kills enemies within four hits"(quote from book)... sword kills shielded enemies in 2 hits. 1 most of the time. vanguard doesn't fight shielded enemies.

Seeing as most of your points come from that game in which predators can't even kill marines in one hit...

how many times must you ramble on about this yes for like the 12th time if the preds advance they can take on elites if not then it will be exactly the same match!!! so stop posting the same crap over and over

Because difficulty level doesnt' change anything about the actual characters, that isn't fair at all.

Alright people. Calm down. First of all both have strengths and weaknesses. It all comes down to which race uses that weakness to their advantage.
Predators can easily kill an Elite in close combat but Elites do travel in greater numbers and would be able to attack from a far. Elites do have shields which gives them a better advantage but Predators can take out the shield just like anyone else.
Elites do have specail Elites with jet packs giving them both a ground assault and an air assault. We can all agree on this so far.

And right there, Arbiter, I agree with you.

Hit and Miss, That may be true, however, what I was reffering to as "Video Game Feats" where reference to what one player can DO in the game. not what is avalable to the player in the game.

Try that argument again and I'll simply say that every single peice of tecxhnology *Including the ones that where previously allowed* ought to be dissallowerd because they are ALL VIDEOGAME FEATS according to your logic, thats Shields, Motion Trackers, weapons.

Now A: Predator Plasmacasters shots explode with roughly the same amount of force as a 40mm grenade (It blew a hole the size of a football clear through a guys chest) I'd put that on par with heavier weapons like the missile launchers and Gredades, One hit kill, two at the most.

Ah but you foget, the Vanguard kills ANYTHING in 4 hits, including the Ripper Aliens that have armour like Battleships. And the Ancients use twin Plasma Sabers that'll kill in one. Plasma Voluges that kill in one hit most of the time... Still care to compare?

Most of my "Feats" have come from 4 sources :Extinction, AVP PC, Concrete Jungle, And the movies.

Elites had to fight an army of Hunters that can take 3 rockets head on without dieing.

That does not mean that the Elites can survive 3 rockets, no mater what difficulty your playing on...

The fact Elites defeated the Hunters which Hunters need a butt load of firepower to kill proves that Elites are very well trained for war.

My halo feats come from the game and books both are the base for "halo" world.... without them there is no halo world...

All of these things are given from the book as well...

Do any of the units in extinction exist in any of the other predator comics or games??? or are they just made up for that game???

If I remember thats requires them to charge there cannons up... they get 1 or 2 shots at the most here then. A blue elites shields would fail from the first hit... A higher elites shields would take both of the shots...
Predators would be required to charge there energy after that...
Still the first shot from an elite would melt a predator...

Ok then... elites have the advantage of instant killing most units other than an ancient. As the highest lvl elites would fight the ancients in the battle I still think the golden elites would be able to kill them in a melee fight... the lower lvl elites would be able to kill the lower lvl predators as they would require a few hits to kill an elite, where as a low lvl elite could still insta kill a low lvl pred.

This is the anomaly in the series as well seeing as the other games make no mention to the units or powers.

In that game humans have railguns... no where else have they got those... Where is the alien ripper in the series. There are alot of inconsistencies in that game compared to the rest of the series.

They said it in Halo 2. Tamming of the Hunters. Fine let's no go by the book for Halo and let's no go by the movies for Predators.

the books give a greater picture then the games do. just like the main source of info would be the comics for the predators but I don't think theres many people who read that...

Poor satsujin.. what are you on about, this comes from the game remember when the arbitor gets his armor....

The arbitor has gone on missions for the Prophets such as the Taming of the Hunters, the Grunt Rebellion, and most recently, the threat of Heresy.

Hes saying its book mess as I schooled him about master chief with reference to the books. They tell us alot about the covenant and the halo world. They are official books not some rubbish...

Satsujin you know better then to poke fun at this... though you seem to like getting in jabs at the books when you can. (It didn't hurt that much did it?)

hmm my view on this keeps changing on one hand i have the fearsom dreadlock pred and on the other the four pronged mouthed elites and they both have great advantages and disavantages the preds having extencive fighting knowledge and being at physical peek were as the elites having shields and faster fiering weapons and plasma swords and the abilerty to defeat hunters which i think a pred would fall to so now im tilting towards the elites
