Chapter 7
The Location Of the Cats eye
When the morning came we heard from the scientists that someone had broke into the museum of ancient artifacts. I told them to grab onto me and then I would teleport there. They did as I instructed and we arrived faster than the blink of an eye. We saw that it was only Recnur this time but that is still trouble enough for us. We kept our distance till we could find out what he was searching for. We followed him for a few minutes till he left the building. We kept following and finally we heard him say that the riddle said it lies at Fies. But the Cats Eye wasn’t there. I stopped in my tracks shocked. My dad was after the Cats Eye Gems! Nobody else knew what the Gems did so I told them as we followed him.
The Cats Eye Gems are two of the deadliest gems in the world. They were originally combined into one set of eyes. One side controlled all evil while the other controlled good. They were stolen by a sorcerer and used to control the world. When a brave warrior named Teshjin stole the eyes back he turned the world back to normal then he split it into two pieces. The Cats Eye Nimbus (which was the good side) and The Cats Eye Dijlin (the evil half). So now my dad wants to locate the two eyes and forge them together to gain control over the world. Then we heard a voice behind us say “you know, Ragnoros has the whole story and our plan figured out.” We turned around and Recnur was behind us.
I teleported behind Recnur and picked him up. He kicked me and Nightshade ran up to him and punched him up into the air. Then he blasted him with a dark ball and Recnur came crashing down. When he stood up I hit him with a light ball and he went flying back. He got up again and then heard Amy and Zoey behind him.
He jumped forward and turned around. Then Stone levitated a giant rock and hit him with it. Then Amy and Zoey blasted him with four blasts of black and ice. He was frozen and surrounded by ice and when he broke out he was shocked by the dark beams Zoey blasted. He still stood up ready to fight. Then I made a ball appear at the tip of my index finger. I was aiming for his arm so he couldn’t attack but I hit a symbol on his forehead. It disappeared and he was confused. He kept saying where am I?
That symbol on his forehead must have kept him from turning from good to evil. And it just kept him evil. We all filled him in on what had happened and he could remember just little tiny pieces of it. We headed back to the hideout and we told Recnur he should rest. While he was asleep we talked about him. I brought up the subject about how he is stronger when he is evil. Then Nightshade said “maybe he was meant to be evil but wants to use his powers for good.” We all agreed about that comment. Once we were done chatting everyone but me and Recnur went to eat lunch. While they were out me and Recnur tried to figure out where The Cats Eye Nimbus was.
We came up with many hypothesizes as to where it was located. I thought it could be in Antarctica, Europe, or Egypt. Recnur thought it was in Great Britain, or China. But when the rest got back from lunch we figured it out. The Cats Eye Nimbus was at the museum but hidden underground. Recnur stood up and the he said “thanks for helping me and your father find out where it was.
We now knew that Recnur’s symbol was a fake. Once we hit it he acted like he was good so we would help him and Gheldrone locate the first piece. I teleported to the museum and blasted a white beam at the ground. I made a tunnel that lead straight below the museum. Soon I hit a mine where a light was shining white. When I grabbed it I started to glow the same color. Then I teleported back to the hideout and initiated power drain lockdown. What happens is if anybody tries to teleport or just walk in their power will be drained. I put the Eye into a magical techno box so nothing could get in except me. Then I double checked to make sure everyone was inside the hideout and they were. So we recovered one Eye and there still is one more out there somewhere in the world.
