Chapter 10
Friends Aren’t Everything
We stood there staring out into the distance wondering “how could we let this happen?” Then a few moments later we started fighting over who’s fault it was. We weren’t saying (it’s my fault) it was more like (it was your fault). So soon enough we all went our separate ways. After that none of us had seen each other for a while. But here is what happened after we broke apart.
When they left I staid in one spot for another few minutes then I headed east cause that was where my dad’s hideout was before he changed the world. Hours passed until I found out that I was getting no where. I don’t mean I was going in circles it just felt like I was moving but getting no where. Soon I started saying “I don’t need anybody’s help,” and “I can make it on my own.” I traveled a bit further and saw that Amy and Zoey were fighting some kind of creature that was created by Gheldrone when he changed the world. I was about to take a left turn so I could avoid them but then I saw Zoey get thrown way far off and Amy laying on the ground. I quickly darted over to her and blasted the monster back. I made a hole in it’s chest. Then it fell over dead. Before Amy woke up I disappeared into the wasteland so neither her or Zoey would know what I did.
Every way I went I always found a former member of the team. So I couldn’t go any where except underground. So I headed back to the hideout and stayed there. I worked on a monitor controlled plane. I send a toy plane with a camera attached to it and use it to map out the area. It took me a few days to perfect it but it was worth it cause once I got the whole place mapped out I could lay a map of what it used to be and pin point the location to where my dad’s castle was located. It only took a week to map the whole town. Then I spent another 3 days making gadgets. One gadget was a techno eye cove that attaches to my ear. When attached it scans and has a built in map. The last one is a yo-yo. But if you use it the right way it can do many wondrous things. Like eject blades from it’s plastic, travel through time, unlock any door, and create a force field.
I had just finished modifying my speed bike when a person came dropping in from above. When the person emerged from the shadows I saw that it was a boy in all brown clothes with a hat covering his face. He only staid for a minute to say, “alone you are no match, together you shall triumph” then he disappeared. I got on my speed bike and ramped out of the hideout and was off to fight my dad. (bike: one wheel in front fast and can change into a robot for fighting.) Now I’m on my way to my dad’s castle to settle this once and for all.
