Which is why I question those signs that say, "No animals allowed." I think, "Doesn't that mean that no living creature is allowed in there, including humans?"

Yes, but vegetables could get in... and monera

Yes, but they are not really "creatures" by my definition of the word. They are living, but do they have a brain to process information with? No. Venus Flytraps and other plants that can move may look like it, but it is only a reflex movement caused by years of evolution and adaptation so they can get ahold of some source of nutrition.

Thou shalt not kill...humans for what reasons?
any reason

Humans were not made to rule over the animals that share the Earth with us, according to Christianity. We were originally just like them. But then Adam and Eve listened to the snake and ate from the Tree of Knowledge which gave them the ability to think, "Why are we naked?"

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26
This is from the bible the Christian follow, we,man, were the head animal

I don't like being called an animal.....Well, sometimes.....

Correction:

Same thing.

What if the killing is justified? Rapist and pedophiles deserve death. ANd on the subjec tof us not meant to rule this world. Well actuall its a question of the most dominant species. And after a virus we are the most dominant.

The Bible says "no killing". No killing means "no killing". Easy as pie.

But then again, the Bible says lots of things...

great, now I have to explain...

New Websters Dictionary: homicide with premediated and malicous intent.

I trust that i dont have define kill.

God did not murder these people to be mean. He merely casted judgement with wrath upon all of them for their evils. He spared Noah and his family however because he tried to follow God despite everyone else.

How do we know that the bible speaks the truth. We must make our own laws for our time. If we follow what a book says then the human race is doomed. the crusades were caused by the bible and relgion and they were a disaster. If the bible says no killing why did they go?

Then Gods an extremely cruel entity who we should cas tout for the good of our race.

Where does it say no killing. The Israelites were in many battles. As said above, the difference between murder and killing is intent. for example: self-defence.

Only we should be able to cast judgement on our own race and forgive me for any offence caused not believe that something we have no proof of can.

The crusades were foolish, and were not based on the bible, Jesus's teachings, or anything of the sort. The radicals who called themselves crusaders aggressively attacked the Ottoman turks. If they followed the bible, they would have shown love and compassion while spreading the word about an omnipotent God of unfathomnable love.

But that would be forcing their beliefs on others. In my opinion that is the most vile crime to force religion on those who have their own. The Turks didnt believe in God so the crusdaers went to kill them. So Christianity and Islam are to blame for the crusades.

God has authority to judge. He is sinless and all-powerful. We are not. You haven't offended me. It's important for you to express what you do or don't beleive. I myself follow God by faith not sight and there is no doubt in my mind that he exists.

I am the last one to defend a stupid book as the Bible - written by hundreds of people over hundreds of years and and translated a kabillion times - but it's not fair to blame the Bible for the crusades.

It's true the crusades were a black page in the book of Christianity, but it was not the Bibles fault. It was a combination of politics and mass hysteria, added with a hatred for the Islam and being jealous of the wealth of the East.

If god kills certain people in the bible like all the firstborns in Egypt then how does that make *it* sinless. Hes killing something and not in self defense.

The bible doesn't teach that people should be forced to believe. that defeats the purpose of free-will. As I was saying the crusades were misguided. TheChristians should instead show them what they beleive so the Muslims will know. As a Christian the most vile crime is to not tell others what you beleive. Because if they don't beleive it they will receive eternal damnation in the afterlife. A truly loving Christian wouldn't let that happen to any soul.
