I'm kinda surprised Yamamoto did that considering the fact that he's one of the biggest dicks in Bleach.

I believe they ran off with Tsukishima and they aren't exactly loyal to Ginjo when they see him as nothing but a deranged loon who needs to die for he's trying to kill their "friend."

It's probably because he was slacking on the job.

He did his thing very shortly before Ichigo started doing his thing. (A year or so..at the very most 3 years.)
