I suppose it is certainly a twist on how Kubo typically does it and it was well drawn for the most part.

How the **** is Giriko having a flashback?

Yukio was clearly starved for attention and praise. He didn't think his parents loved him or saw him as a good child or as an equal (child genius' seem to have this problem alot), so he created fake ones with his powers than praised him and gave him the attention he wanted, which only created a further rift when he prefered their company to his actual parents and didn't talk to them.

Giriko is a meh character. Agreed on Dirty boots. Riruka is a brat. But given that she's a super-powered 7 year old, thats understandable.

He isn't. Riruka is giving their backstories. Its just a general flashback, not tied to anyone.

But each one is from their perspective. 😮

Though I guess you imagine they're all standing in front of Ginjo repeating their flashbacks.

Edit: Thing about Yukio was...he didn't talk. To anyone. That's why his parents left him alone. And....why doesn't he talk to them?

He just didn't. 'I didn't think it was such an important thing.'

And quit nitpicking.

But that doesn't make sense to me.

He is a genius(shown when battling Hitsugaya) so yeah he could talk at whatever age they were probably teaching him. But he didn't think it was important...? Babies don't know what important means. And later on he creates a knew world because he doesn't want to talk to his parents. But I mean, what did they do? He acted like he didn't want to talk to them so they didn't talk. If I don't feel like talking, yes, I'd like to be left alone.

So I don't get what his deal with his parents was. It's his fault.

He was obviously just really anti-social and had poor communication skills. And he wasn't a baby. He's at least 4 in the flashback. Plus they don't know what it means but they know what it is. 🙄 If they don't feel like talking they won't.

Plus I find it amusing that his problems stem from not talking to anyone but Hitsugay beat him because he wouldn't stop monologuing. He definately leant how to talk given how he wouldn't shut up later.

Interesting to see the FB backstories, though I only really felt sorry for Jackie

No-one thinks of themselves as being unreasonable. I'm sure all they focus on is the hardships and not how they got there.

Well Giriko is flat out dumb if he can blame anyone but himself. Yukio...his fault and unfairly blaming the wrong people. Then again, kid. Riruka was a brat and I'm not sure what her problem was. Jackie....was a pretty legit victim.

I don't get what your problem is. They're the bad guys. They're supposed to be bad people. They're not supposed to be right.

Then why is Jackie portrayed so positively? It's impossible to feel sorry for the others cause it's their fault.

And it doesn't satisfy the whole scraps of weak meat thing. :T

Giriko is obviously a psycho. We saw that when he fought Kenny. Yukio is obviously a messed up kid. Wesaw that when he fought Captain Gay. We don't really know what Riruka's deal is yet. And Jackie was supposed to be sympathetic. We saw that when she fought Renji.

Only Jackie has been portrayed sympathetically so far (maybe Riruka). The others were psychos.

It was weakly done. I DID enjoy how intelligently it was written...with a jumping back and forth. That's something Faulkner did in Absalom Absalom! so no one can say that it isn't a decent way to tell a story.

However, I would have preferred better development. Dirt Boots B*tch was done okay.......but it never showed us why she doesn't trust men! LAME! How are we supposed to believe she was raped, now, by some dude, after she activated her FB? Lame.

The boy is just a sociopath. Obvious point is obvious. He didn't need development at this point.

Riruka is actually a decent person. What kid DOESN'T keep stuff hidden when they are 7? She realized how wrong it was and released the dude. She was only 7. She's obvious a b*tch and Kubo already established that.

agreed on all acounts. Kubo did a good job on some of them, but he really could've gone a bit further with the dirty boots woman. though I am curious if he will soon be revealing Ginjo's and Tsukishima's past.

Ginjo will probably be a disappointment, not matter what happens. OR...it could be some sort of ultimate tie-in thing where he's just a pawn of Aizen.

I defended and praised Bleach when it was "popular" to hate on it. I deserve a couple of weeks to hate on it, at this point. 🙁

I'm suprised Rukia didn't launch a better sneak attack through Riruka's virtually pointless flashback. I mean really was she trying to make Rukia feel sorry for them?

Uh....Uryu, Orihime, and Chad have more depressing backgrounds thent he lots of them barring Jackie IMO.

But, I'm disappointed..nobody comments on the girl on girl action going on right now.

Giriko is ****ing hilarious.

I don't get what's happening at the end of the chapter. Riruka stabbed Rukia that much is obvious but something else is going on. Because the letter R is seen on the back of Riruka's gauntlet, it must be something that's equivalent to her Addiction Shot.
