Soi Fon's one of the captains he's interacted with the least- I think he saw her at the execution, then just now, and that's it. So she'll have some respect for what he's done but insists on manners.

And she is jealous of him hogging Yoruichi 🙂

You're right on all counts but Hachigen needing her to beat Barragan. Their team move didn't kill him and it turns out Hachigen had the one technique that Barragan couldn't defend against.

But yeah, he could have done that on his own.

He wouldn't likely have known about the weakness without the prior attempts and info gleaned, would he?

He himself made some prior attempts though. 😛

However many.. it was WAY TOO many to keep the story interesting... And in spite of this NONE of the people who's main attacks I.E. Bankais that we actually wanted to see were ever used.

It's hard to feel anything when there's no consequences in any of these battles and it's harder when the reveals that are half of what make the series bearable.... are not revealed. 😬

Like someone else pointed out earlier... Yammy got off paneled right after he got hyped... That makes no sense and completely robs the cliffhanger of it's retrospective appeal.

THIS.. this crap we're being treated to now.. It's ALSO monotonous... How the hell are we supposed to take this back to school crap seriously? It comes off as beginning of the series material.... or worse... a F888ing filler arc... IN THE MANGA no less. 😬
Instead of developted characters who've been through a world of hurt, adventure and the like we get more of the same without even one reference to something we'd actually care about as a reader or even one internalization of a character that actually leads our interest...

Ichigo trying to make amends with the fact that he's having a normal boring life.... Even wanting a normal boring life.... Is normal... and boring....

Spiderman 2 did a much better job with that kind of material because you actually care about the character in the midst of a development.. when the character makes choices like this for no reason without a sense of development it leaves him removed from us and unable to connect because we're not being lead on a journey at that point..... we're just being lead to a table with a steaming pile of crap on a plate and being told it's what's for dinner.

Soooooo yeah..... Xcution felt like a filler arc when it started, and it FEELS like a filler arc now that it's ended!

I've seen worse things that qualify as a filler arc than the Fullbring arc. :T

Mind you, filler isn't always bad. Sometimes it's just nice to see our characters developing, having fun, whatever. Sadly, of the Big Three, only One Piece has bothered with in manga filler after the early arcs.

Yea, there can be nice filler. A good story with a fast pace can use 'em to let the reader breath.

Favorite/Least Favorite Bleach fights? Why?

Least Favourites: In order of recency: All of the fights after Ginjos reveal. Deicide. Most of the Karakura Town fights except Barragans. The Yammy fight. Byakuyas fight in Hueco Mundo. Ishida, Renji and Mayori's fight vs Saslyel or whatever that morons name was in Hueco Mundo. The Arrancar fights at the start of the Hueco Mundo arc. And all he Arrancar fights in Karakura town except for Grimmjaws.

Because they were shit.

Lets see here...favorite fight is between Ichigo vs Byakuya and Ichigo vs Grimmjow despite the douchebagness of the latter. Oh and Kisuke's training sesion with Ichigo was pretty funny to watch.

I'd say Hisagi had a good fight if the anime version was consistent with the manga version.

Though I agree with Nephthys for the most part about crap fights.

Least favorite fights are every fight after Ichigo and Grimmjow's final fight.

fav = Ichigo vs. Grimmjow. finally got to see the latter release after being teased like 3 times.

least fav = Renji & Uryu vs. Szayel. Horrible, just plain awful.

It was mostly a joke on my part but I didn't like Pow after he release; my reasoning is totally unrelated to the release itself.

well he technically had a sparring match with Iba in the manga even if it was off screen.
