Not really. Nothing major, only tiny details. Like, they use "Soul Reaper" instead of shinigami, and when AIzen says "I will stand in heaven" or whatever, in the English version he says "Stand at the top".But, only nitpickers care...

It's a shonen, man. That's how it works. You can't act like you didn't see this coming or knew it would happen.
Besides, at some point Ichigo was gonna need to get a power boost to beat Aizen at the end anyway. I wouldn't be shocked if Ichigo needs to go up another level after this just to be in Aizen's neighborhood.
That said, this new hollow mask looks infinitely better than the old one.
I like the fact that Ichigo got stronger. Of all the fights, this one doesn't have very much PIS...for the most part.
However, Ichigo should have mopped the floor with Ulq when Ulq was in his first form. That's my only complaint as far as PIS goes. I still think he was made too strong in his bankai form.
Ichigo has had
1. Restoring his Shinigami powers after losing them because Kuchiki. (Ichigo was using borrowed powers at the time. He was using Rukia's reitsu power level. Once he got his own shinigami powers, he was using his own personal set, making him stronger than when he was using Rukia's.)
2. After the 10 day training with Urahara, Ichigo was much stronger and could control his Reitsu better.
3. His power amp by knowing his Zanpakuto's name (Zangetsu).
4. His Bankai power amp after doing that three day thing with Zangetsu.
5. Unlocking his Hallowfication form and mastering it..which took quite a bit of time.
6. Second release bankai+hallowifcation+2nd tier hallowfication.
That is six power amps.
I could even be missing some.
Ichigo's new mask design looks familiar.

Kubo's a sly, sly dog ain't he?

Very interesting.
When I saw that, I was wondering what that was about...as I had never seen ichigo look like that. I thought the top left hand mask thing was something like that Arrancar that #4 captain was talking to at around that time.
Ahhh, so this is the reason reason Ichigo got up...

i know Ulq is going to be defeated but not like this..before Ichigo change..Ulq is like on a totally deferent league..and now..just by turning into a hollow..Ichigo is way more powerful..u see how much power up he get..i was thinking maybe he'll be equal or something like that would be better..

You didn't know that this is a huuuge allegory of complex real world applications?
You sir, are simple minded. 313
Seriously, though, I liked this latest power amp quite a bit. The other power amps were PIS, for the most part. The lot of them. However, this one is nice. I like it. He looks awesome too. 😄

If you are expecting manga and anime to contain some masterful dramatic story, you are probably frequently disappointed and probably should move onto something else bro.

Lol. That is somewhat true.
It can be done, however. There are some magnificent story tellers in anime and manga. As rich and interesting as anything out there.

I have read FANFICTIONS with more creative endings to fights than the shit Kubo writes.
Masterful dramatic story? I am complaining about how Kubo is too fvcking simple-minded to write anything but the random super-strong guy to save so-and-so or the random gay power-up in the end of the fight.
