Well he is super pissed off, and he told Bach he's going to annihilate him.

Plus he's really dumb.

So? If Juhabach is able to steal Yamamoto's Bankai with that stupid medallion, it's going to make him more powerful. Just because the old man's pissed doesn't mean he shouldn't think before acting.

Was it just me, or was Bach's medalian attached to his sword?

It looked like it was part of the hilt.

He was already hurting Juhabach with just his shikai. Why does he need to be more overkill than he already is and possibly lose his Bankai in the process?
they have a past, so Yama probably knows he can't win using only his shikai; that, and he likely knows that the bankai stealing won't work on him.

You'd think that by this point, people would stop trying to jump the guy.

It always ends with them get incinerated. lol

So, now that the "fear" guy is gone, what happens to the stolen bankai he took from Byuakuya? Does it stay gone forever? Because I could live with that.

Assuming Byakuya isn't dead of course.

I'd think that people would be more interested in seeing Yamamoto's bankai. Especially since he might know something about the bankai-theft that we don't.

Makes sense, he does know the guy after all.

But if the bankai-theft does work on him than facepalms are in order.

If he knows how the technique works, then why not tell his soldiers so they wouldn't sacrifice their Bankai to see how the technique works?

Using this as an excuse to kill off the captains so he can get more fresh blood to take their place?

If he didnt tell them it may be a technique that he's developed to keep his bankai.. or be lazy as say his bankai is too strong to steal.

For all we know Yamamoto might have taken a medallion — which wouldn't be hard for him to attain — to Kurotsuchi and through testing found out that it didn't work on Yamamoto's bankai. Kurotsuchi might still try to figure out the details of why, but Yamamoto got all the information he needs.

Or maybe Yamamoto's bankai is a suicide technique or at the very least a double-edged sword that weakens the user if used inappropriately.

I'm not saying that it has to be the case, but there are tons of reasonable explanations I'm inclined to believe before: Yamamoto's Alzheimer's got to him. or Yamamoto is stupid.

I'd honestly be surprised if Yamamoto got his bankai stolen and his ass whopped in the next chapter.

Yamamoto is pretty stupid.

I am very proud of my summery of characters.

Early release.

Anyway, since we got an interesting number I decided to proofread by checking the raw, and there was one key mistake.

Spoiler:
一千五百万度 (pronounced: ichi sen go hyaku man do) which translates to 15 million, and not 1.5 million.

Overall a neat chapter I suppose.

Nice to see Unohara and Isane are taking this invasion seriously and not fighting. Of course not, they have ovaries after all.

Not enough bulk in this chapter, especially for such an legendary reveal.

Impressive temp though.

I liked the sun raises in the east and goes down in the west idea, and the art was pretty cool too. There wasn't much progression in terms of story, but then again I'd prefer this battle to span at least ten chapters.

Yamamoto's reminds me of Ichigo's, with the concentration thing.

"No zanpaku-to has a bankai and shikai with different abilities."

Soi Fon.

And Ikkaku. His spear turns into 3 massive axes.
