How about no. If you establish that a particular course of action is stupid then have a character do it anyway, then you better explain why it isn't stupid to do it. If you don't then your readers spend weeks thinking 'man thats dumb' or 'they better explain why he can't just steal his bankai or this is really stupid.'

They aren't even referencing the fact that Bach could steal his Bankai. So at the moment it looks like the characters have simply forgotten that he can do that. Its a plot hole until Kubo decides to plug it up.

It wouldn't be so jarring if the others didn't immediately steal the Captain's Bankai. If for whatever reason he can't, just say why he can't lol.

Yeah but if the reason is nothing special, there is no reason not to explain it. If there is something special, then by all means he can take his time. 😛

Soifon killed that one Fraccion whose name no one remembers with her Shikai.

Her Bankai has killed nothing.

Soi-Fon's Shikai is a two hit kill move. Her Bankai is a one hit kill. Connection is that hard to make dewds.

Her Bankai didn't kill Barragan.
