This chapter was good up until the end where Ichigo uses quincy powers w/o any explanation. Bach is awesome for stabbing Ichigo in the throat 🙂

His mother was attacked by a Hollow. He got his Hollow powers when he was training with Urahara, who needs to appear and kick some ass.

question: why didn't we ever get to see Ichigo's Bount power? I mean, he most certainly has one since he has every other goddamn power in the series. 😬

His Hollow powers developed during the training but it must have already been in him, like how the other vizards had to be created. (Unless the mother getting offed is the reason?)

maybe. At any rate, he now has the power of the three main species in the series now: hollow, Quincy, and soul reaper. I'm pretty sure Kubo did things this way to set something really major up.

Thats actually either a mistranslation or Kubo retconned it, since the next chapter starts with:

You are the offspring of a human and a- With Ichigo then saying that he didn't need to finish since Isshin points to the answer anyway.

Ichigo will soon have a Devil Fruit and a Sharingan.

And Gourmet Cells. Watch, next week he'll run over and eat Kenpachi and learn how to shoot teacups out of his hands.
