I agree. But he has another saying that superceded the old one:

"Beauty, brains, and brawn: yes please."

That was his old motto actually, and it only applied to women. excellent

You watch...Ichigo becomes the Captain Commander. 😐

Can't say I'd care for that. I like the carefree Captain like Shunsui having to step forward and take responsibility once the old guard is out.

Nah. Ukitake for CC.

Mega revival!

So CreepyCaptain-san figured out the "vacuum space" trick that the Quincy were using, eh? I hope he beats down the quincy. I like and hate that guy.

Or at least show that Soul Society is at least semi-competent. I know this was a sneak attack and all but twice in a row?(3 times if you count the death of Mr.whogivesa****)

Toshiro strikes a poses with boobs in the background amongst other things.

definitely. for a group of people that have supposedly been training and revamping their shit since Aizen was defeated, the Vandenreich are running circles around them in actual effective strategy. though with Mayuri there, that may hopefully finally be undone...

Bleach is fvcking back!

Strategy kids. It's always helpful. 👆

indeed it is. it's just that Soul Society was being just a bit too stuck in its ways that let the Vandenreich's strategy work so damn well at first, though the whole city swap thing was quite ingenious even for Bleach as a whole.

and at least it looks like Soul Society will begin making a bit of a comeback.

I wonder how their city thing was affected by Soul Society's own city swap that they pulled against Aizen and his Espada?

Also, other than Spanish and German language motifs*, what other language motifs* does Kubo use in Bleach in the various story arcs?

*I have no idea of "motif" is the word I want to use. It is the word for recurring element or structure used throughout a narrative. I don't really know if "motif" is the word for which I am looking. Maybe someone who is more versed in literary structure or an academic understanding of story design can help me flesh out what I am trying to say with the proper terms (I am looking at you, AuraAngel and Nephthys).

Hitsugaya is basically the best character in this manga.

Is...is that competence I see, from Soul Society of all group. I think Kubo is under the weather. I mean to see not-Kisuke characters use strategy is nothing short of amazing.

As for Toshiro, I'm not sure to classify the fact that his shikai isn't far off from his bankai to be really kickass or kind of lame.

Motif is correct.

As for Language motifs, Japanese, for the Shinigami I'd say. Contrasts the 'Eastern' Shinigami with the more 'Western' Quincy.

What about the Fulbringers? What was their "language" motif?

I'll have to go back and look because I don't remember.

"You thought you beat me but heres a trump card to switch the fight in my favor!"

Says every shounen combatant ever.

It happens. Hell it's not even really just a Shonen thing lol.

Liked this one. Action was fun and the character moments were good. And the Sternritter's aren't going out as easily as the Espada at least.

I want to put my phallus in Soi Fong so bad.

edit- Too bad she's about to get Worf'd.

edit- The guy she's fighting is Astner in manga incarnate.

Soi Fon was pretty cool in this chapter but generic shounen speech is generic.

And thank goodness the Sternritter aren't going out like chumps. Toshiro also hasn't made me mad yet which is another plus
