It would appear that it can be a title, given it's namesake. All of the Espada would be Vasto Lorde, because of their dominion...if you don't count power as a prerequisite but only the actual meaning of the name "Vasto Lorde." We only have what Toshiro said and a few parts what others have said about Vasto Lorde's.

So, you only count the "power" to count them as Vasto Lorde and not the dominion role? How about the whole package? Power, dominion, evolution. Why wouldn't there be an artificial way to get there faster? For me, it's quite obvious that that is what Aizen was doing, making Artificial Vasto Lorde.

True, Stark made a much better 'most powerful Espada' than Yammy. Hell, even Barragan and Grimmjow would.

Sado, Rukia & Renji iirc, are pretty much screwed if Yammy is as powerful as he's supposed to be.

I don't buy that...I think that Ulq was as strong or stronger than most in his second release...it is possible that he is the only one with a second release and he is the strongest because of having a second release...except for Yammy. At least, I think that'd be true.

As nerdy as we are? Most likely not, but she's really into Bleach, and some other mangas, some of which are Shonen. She's even into Tenjho Tenge, she made me read it, and I loved it. Fairly obvious why.

Well, at least until we see the others in action, we won't know for sure. Double releases could be specific to those who were Vasto Lorde before they became Arrancar.

Halibel owned Toshiro easily, though imo, he's one of the weaker captains due to his age, and she's one of the strongest Espada. Perhaps she and Yuroichi will fight. They resemble each other.

And why does Uluqiorra remind me of Byakuya >_>?

It is more likely in Aizen's case. Uluqiorra was pretty rude to Yammy. Something he wouldn't normally do to someone more powerful than him.

True, he'd rape Yamamoto if he doesn't use his bankai, though, in all fairness, Yamamoto should pull off a win if he does. His bankai would have to be unbelievably powerful though.

You're probably right. It could be that Aizen underestimated some of the captian's power or Ichigo's power.

I thought of that but you have to remember that they follow Aizen because he is much smarter than they are and Aizen probably augmented him. Also, Ulq said he was fearless or something like that...so the Hallow, being Hallow, respect him for that. He did bring Grimmjow to his knees, so it is possible that Aizen is stronger than all of the Espada...but I doubt that. It's gotta be something else.

It's pretty cool. The story's weird at first, but you'll understand soon. The chicks there are insanely hot as well.
Oh yes, one more thing, if you read the CMX version, there's nothing to worry about. The original Japanese version is extremely ecchi though. Not outright hentai, just ecchi. The chicks are enough to keep you reading though, if you are like me 😛.

But eventually, once an espada realizes that they have more power than him, he'd either have a back-up plan, or prove them that they are wrong about being more powerful.

By the way, based on a tier system, how would you rate the captains of the Gotei 13? Ignoring the data book obviously, it's not that great.

Don't think I'm weird for this..but, I think Mashiro Kuna is hot as well. She held the Vizard form, her first time, for 15 hours, the most out of any vizard...so she's not weak or as stupid as she lets on.

Obviously, Kenpachi is one of the top Captains in combat. He is so powerful that he wears an eye patch to hold down his power.

Kuchiki is one of the smartest, fastest, and most powerful. All around, it's obviously Yamamoto. He is a master of all categories. He invented the shinigami school. He is probably the best at Kidou since he taught it, he certainly has the most Reiatsu out of anyone, making two of the top captains sweat from the pressure, and he obviously has the highest attack power Zanpakutou because he said so. 😐

I was thinking maybe a tier 😛.

Tier 1: Aizen (most probably). Yamamoto.

Tier 2: Aizen (If not in 1, then definitely here). Shunsui. Ukitake (at his peak i.e. without his disease). Unohana (based on speculation, she's never been seen in a fight, though she's one of the oldest captains, she should be powerful as well)

Tier 3: Byakuya. Kenpachi. Soifon (her shikai alone is damn powerful, her speed + [two strikes in the same place = instant death] ). Tosen (possibly)

Tier 4: Gin (haven't really seen him fight [seriously], so😬). Komamura (perhaps could be higher). Mayuri (in terms of pure combat power). Toshiro (his age means he's not reached his full potential or something like that)

Tier 5: Ukitake (because of his disease, his endurance is incredibly low).

As for tiering the Captains:

Tier 1: Yamamoto, Aizen

Tier 2: Shunsui, Ukitake(both have been implied to be the strongest captains excluding Yamamoto), Unohana(Although has not done very much, she is implied to be extraordinarily powerful)

Tier 3: Kenpachi, Byakuya, Gin(not shown much, but is a genius on the level of Toshiro perhaps in terms of potential, easily killed a third seat officer as a child)

Tier 4: Soifon, Komamura, Tousen(not sure on this, possibly tier 3)

Tier 5: Mayuri, Toshiro
