I have a theory that Kubo intentionally made the vizards suck so that the fans would finally stop asking about them. I mean now that I've seen three vizard captain get stomped by the Sternritter, I'm certainly not looking forward to them reappearing in the future. Just my thought on it.

Wonder how pissed Mr. Luchador is going to get now that his fan is dead and he has to deal with Renji.

The last chapter is proof of why you shouldn't explain the mechanics of your power to people whom you're currently fighting. What a ****ing dumbass. Even for Shounen, that was pretty terrible.

Honestly, I think Kubo broke the 4th wall with this last chapter. It's almost a given that, in shonen manga, the characters explain their techniques and everyone understands why they have to just suck it.

it would seem so. even then, it just borders on ridiculous. I actually feel that Rose getting struck down felt justified because of such a mistake.

Granted Mask had already figured out it was an illusion. It was just dumb for Rose to just flat out say "music bro" like that.

Less 4th wall breaking more lampshading. But actually I don't get that impression. I think Rose is just an idiot. Where was this Bankai when Stark was putting a cero blast up his ass?

At this point I really don't get why people have expectations for the Vizards. To this day there are lieutenants who haven't done anything noteworthy so it is pretty clear that some characters are just flat out boring to Kubo.

Kensei was offscreen'd by Wonderweiss, Rose has done nothing except be fodder for Stark. Any Vizard not named Hachi(and to a tiny extent Shinji) is useless.

I think you might have jinxed Hachigen Aura. Now Kubo's probably going to be trying even harder than ever to have him oneshot. Also I do wonder where the hell was this when Starrk was blasting the shit out of him and Rose at the same time.

I've always wanted for him to be awesome.

That was... entertaining but still disappointing. At this point I could care less about the powerscale of the characters. But it was hard watching him just no-sell all those attacks.

Nothing is worse in manga than someone no-selling the other character for the entire fight.

I actually don't care, the Vandenreich have been trolling and stomping the soulreapers for around what, 30 chapters? It is a refreshing change in pace.

Plus you know Kubo is going to let Renji get curbstomped by someone else.

in all likelihood yeah, there will eventually be some enemy to curbstomp Renji. still, it was nice to see him kick ass for a change of pace. come to think of it, he said a long time ago (back when he first appeared to fight during the Fullbringer arc) that he was training to beat Aizen. anyone think he could pull that off now?
