Yeeeea... they totally forget about that.

Ditto hollows feeding on souls (sparing a hollow is a *bad thing*).

Her technique sounds like her body's temporarily in suspended animation and moved ala the quincy self-puppetry technique that Uryu used, then it goes back to normal when she's done.

I do hope she has bankai in addition.

That's stupid OP for a shikai, maybe if it were a sub-ability for her bankai it would be more reasonable.

Does this mean Byakua is going to turn into a cherry blossom lich king in comparisson to Yamamoto.

There are two kinds of death in Bleach, the regular and the spiritual.

So Rukia is dead in the sense that she doesn't have a physical body. But she's not dead in the sense that she doesn't have a spirit.

Except that her technique is about physically killing her by slowing down her bodies molecules.

But its more about how silly it is to be talking about being alive or dead when you are actually dead in the first place.

So apparently both Kubo and Toshiro were full of shit when talking about Hyorimaru being the most powerful water-ice zanpakuto. Rukia's ability is a giant **** u to thermodynamics and I find it strange as hell how she has the exact counter to Nodt's powers.

Also yeah aren't all shinigami supposed to be dead people with superpowers?

Edit: why isn't Nodt using Byakuya's bankai?

Well he is still right just in a different way. Rukia has power over lower temperatures but her range and duration is pathetic. Hitsugaya's is still the superior choice even if Rukia's has a much more powerful move.

Now I might've read the chapter wrong, but didn't Rukia say that the movement of her molecules was suspended in the very beginning of the chapter?

If that's the case then 4 seconds is more than she'd ever need.

exactly. in terms of versatility, Toshiro's zanpakuto has the overwhelming advantage. only reason why Rukia's new ability worked so well is because for one thing, it perfectly countered Nodt's ability and for another thing, he couldn't account for Rukia's increase in speed, hence why he got blitzed so badly.

It all depends on her opponent. She could, hypothetically, kill anyone with that move. But could she tag, say, Soi-Fon with it in 4 seconds? Soi-Fon is pretty fast.

Regardless of how you put it the move is too broken for someone like Rukia to be able to use at least in shikai IMO. However its range limit appears to make it seem less absurd.

Which reminds me, Nodt still has Byakuya's bankai and Rukia's shikai only works for 4 seconds, which I don't know why she decided to tell someone how her power worked. So why isn't Nodt using Byakuya's bankai to keep her at bay and pwn her. IMO dude should've did that the moment he realized his fear wasn't working.

Eh I see it as a logical extension of her already limited Shikai. Besides even if Kubo has her say Absolute Zero something tells me characters like Buzz-B or Yamamoto would handle it just fine thanks to fire powers. Everyone else will just need to be faster. Now her Bankai, if she has one, might be a whole other story.

Because As Nodt is too confident in his own abilities to conceive of them being beaten. And since he has Byakuya's Bankai that means...crap he can't go supermode until Byakuya gets it back.

Which might mean As Nodt is not completely out of the fight. We'll wait and see.

lol,

Nodt is still alive and will come back with an "AHA!" attack.

Yeah but having Bankai means no Angel mode. Which is what he'd need to escape this prison.

Her Shikai wasn't exactly a weak one before, it had a couple good moves. The column-of-ice thing one-shotted D-Roy.

It wasn't weak but it was absurdly broken with absolute zero puppet mode.

I'm digging Bleach more and more. There is some legit tension. Sure the fights are being meh but the tension is getting built because the Shinigami are being severely worn down.

I feel more concerned for the good guys now then I ever did against Aizen...mostly because Yamamoto was still alive and kicking.

So it appears I did indeed jump the gun on bashing Rukia's bankai: I still think it stupid how she can reach absolute zero in shikai.

But this ending is laughably lame: http://www.mangapanda.com/bleach/568/18

^ikr

So one of two very predictable things could have happened.

The lamer of the two happened. *sigh*

Let's just hope the two will have to team up to win, rather than have Byakuya do all the work now...
