That's possible. And the outcome is that it is just an illusion (the stuff that the Quincy boy did). So the people are still alive.

I don't know, Guenael's death was kind of graphic.

As for Kensei and Rose being dead...remember how Kira and Byakuya were supposed to die but didn't? There still alive IMO.

Also way to suck there Isane, and Kenpachi just had to show up to save the day. Here I was hoping Yachiru was going to show us a bankai too...darn it.

Out of all the people we've met in this series, outside of maybe Orihime, i would imagine that Yachiru would be the one most suited to take advantage of an "anything i imagine is real" power. I fully expected Yachiru to use her own imagination and reverse it on her opponent.

Ken showing up to save her is kinda lame, imo. Then again, maybe Kubo will repeat himself and have Yachiru be the one to win the fight afterall, similar to the way Rukia won her fight after we thought Byakuya would step in to finish her opponent.

I care less about Kenpachi showing up and more about the abrupt switch in villains. Quincy McUgly didn't even get a chance to go Angel Mode! And this kid seems really overpowered so when Kenpachi beats him it will seem so dumb~

I also think Yachiru is done with this one guys. Unlike Rukia, who you could argue would have beaten As Nodt on her own and was just in a bit of a pinch when Byakuya showed up, Yachiru explicitly doesn't fight when Kenpachi is around cause that would be taking away his fun. Unless another guy shows up to take on Kenpachi it'll be him vs the kid here.

At least Yachiru got to do more than poor Ikkaku, Yumichika, Hisagi, Kensei, and Rose lol.

I get the feeling the fight will end as anticlimactic as when Kenpachi fought Giriko aka Mr. I Can Control Time So I Will Give Myself Muscles Because Best Strategy. Sure the kid's got the power to turn imaginations into reality but he's gonna do something stupid. I just know it.

only time will tell, Nemesis X. no pun intended in regards to your comment.

and you know, guys? remember how Yhwach basically gave all of the sternritter his powers? thinking about that, just how the hell did Yamamoto beat this guy way back then, assuming he didn't distribute his powers to others back then? seriously, Nodt's fear, this new guy's unknown level of reality warping, Mcugly's fade-from-memory/sight thing, Bazzbee's heat, etc... shoot, just how overpowered was Yhwach way back when he wasn't giving people powers?

Yhwach gives people a part of his soul, and when they die they will return all of their souls to Yhwach.

That said, Yhwach didn't have the powers. He engraved the epithet into their souls and will get the powers for himself once the the carrier of that epithet dies.

hmm, right. still, this is clearly not the first time he's done something like this with the sternritter. which still makes my question stand: just how did Yamamoto beat this guy if he has such a large skill set?

Yama was stronger, Yhwach was weaker.

with however many potentially broken abilities that he could've had access to at the time... kind of hard to wrap my head around. though I suppose he could've also gotten arrogant...

Yamamoto might well have had help from some of the current Royal Guards.

You know what would be phucking hilarious?

If Kenny got one-panneled by the I sternritter. Like when he walks in, he talks for a minute, and then right when he gets ready to start fighting, his head vanishes. Then the next panel shows him falling to the ground with Yachiru's tears welling up. Then she awakens bankai and kills the I sternritter. That would be so hilarious, that I would ignore the shit-factor of it, and just accept his death.

That'd be glorious.

Lets go i wanna see kenny use bankai..... Even though he probably doesnt have one.

I guess that Kenpachi earned the title officially, now. Weird.

😖leep:

Wake me up when something interesting happens in this fight.

Just wait, he'll use shikai or something next chapter or so.

So he is like Franklin Richards after all.

Who was it that suggested that Kenpachi's latent power is basically becoming as strong as his opponent?

Was it Astner? That's about right on the money.

I think Kubo also agreed with that assessment.
