It was pretty darn funny. Toshiro better stay dead.

Toshiro isn't gonna stay dead. The ending is awesome cause it means Bambietta could be brought back to normal.

It's already been established that the Shinigami zombies are still alive, and that Bambi is dead. She isn't returning, Toshiro will.

I know but I can dream right? Also how was the zombie fodder arrancar able to one-shot Bambietta when she was powerful enough to take out captains?

Shinigami don't have to die to become Giselle's Zombies. Quincy do. That doesn't preclude the possibility of Shinigami becoming Zombies the same way that Quincy do.

Alternatively, it's one of the Quincy that could mimic the appearance of other people.

Possibly but then that would be a bit much, having another Quincy pretend to be a zombified Toshiro. Just what kind of logic would call for that? Ergo Toshiro got zombified just like the other soul reapers, though when it happened is unknown to us right now.

Not to mention we are currently seeing several dead dewds still alive despite the whole dying thing. Wonder why Charlotte is alive but the others that died in that battle are absent.

Indeed that could very well be the case. Unless Giselle decided to play dress up with Hitsugaya.

Oh and if Toshiro's a zombie, Rangiku must be a crappy subordinate: well more than usual.

Maybe Tite Kubo hates NemesisX as well, and Rangiku is also a zombie.

Maybe they're both zombies and Giselle makes them act out Shotakon fantasies.

Would be a terrible shame if Mayuri ended up killing Tōshirō.
