A funny little twist like this is fine if the story was built with that in mind. It probably wasn't.

^ How so? The quinces, or at least the Vandenreich, have never been shown to be benevolent so to be able to explain how Zero Division is suddenly the big bad while the quinces are not would be a mess assuming of course the proposed scenario would actually come to pass.

Also considering Kubo's track record with rectons, I still have my doubts that he actually planned on Ichigo having quincy powers but I'll let that be.

Yhwach's domination of Zangetsu and manipulation of Ichigo, as well as Ryūken's relation to Isshin and Masaki had been pointing to it for hundreds of chapters before it was revealed.

Even though anyone could have guessed it, the readers only found out about the cause of Ichigo's quincy powers recently: The Yhwach connection in particular was really recent which is why I'm still skeptical of it.

That's why it's called foreshadowing, it's there to make sense in hindsight. You should be able to pick up on that something is going on but you shouldn't be able to extrapolate and come to the final conclusion, effectively spoiling the outcome for yourself.

That's very well a case for Kubo foreshadow. My skepticism comes from there being no definite connection at the time between Ryuken and Isshin and the way the latter parts of the arrancar arc played out. So while the elements were there to lead to very early speculation, I still have my doubts that Kubo actually planned for the story to progress in that direction

It could a delusional flawed ultimate good like crusaders, in terms of the quincy, as well as a mix of good people on the Shinigami side. It just feels like the over all fight between the most powerful is not as clear cut.

Like if Yawch was so evil how could in the end his essence grow to love Ichigo like a Dad?

So Yhwach's letter means the almighty... well then.

His name is a shitty Romanization of the tetragrammaton "YHWH." YHWH is the Jewish name/label for God. He was called God by people around him so he started call himself that.

He's lucky he wasn't born amongst Jews because they would kill a b*tch for calling themselves the I Am.

Edit - WTF? Translation error? "Just like a black, you will die!"

I do not know if I like the new two pupils-look, and wouldn't all-seeing or all-knowing be more apt? Or is there something I'm missing?

lol'd

So the way I figure it is that Yhwach used the same soul engraving he uses on his Sternritter to solidify his being and power (basically engraving his own identity upon his soul I guess), which allowed him to resist Ichibei's ability (which is pretty much a form of reality warping).

Thoughts?

Possibly. It's the only thing that would (for now) explain how exactly he was able to resist Ichibei's bankai.

dadudemon: I was aware of his name's allusion to YHVH/YHWH, but I was more curious about what his letter meant until now...

I have been watching this show and im not too far in yet (about half way through) but one question is bugging the crap out of me...Does anyone find out Ichigo is technically a descendant of the Shiba clan?

EDIT: by anyone I kinda mean the Soul Society. I had it spoiled for me who his father is and I need to know this lol

As far as the anime is concerned, nope. It ends at the "Fullbring Arc" prior to the reveal.

that sucks. I imaging there would be a lot of gasping lol What about the Manga?

Isshin was the former head of a branch house of the Shiba clan. So yes, Ichigo is a descendant of the Shiba Clan.

Yhwach sure has an interesting power. Though the suddeness of the last page was a bit...

So let me get this straight...

Butt-beads Shinigami has reality warping powers that not only warped reality but could draw power from other dimensions. And his power was absolute with no way out of how dominating the power was.

But Ywhach has reality warping powers that negate reality warping powers. lol

What in the actual f*ck. It's just like how Family Guy made fun of anime. "I have this power which is unbeatable! haha! I have this power which beats unbeatable powers! haha! But I was just holding back, you see! I can now do this! haha! I was holding back, too. I can trump your new unbeatable powers with overriding override powers! haha!" And so forth.

Then Aizen is going to show up and warp Yhwach's reality and Yhwach will warp Aizen's reality and defeat him. Then Ichigo will warp Yhwach's reality. Then Aizen, Ichigo, and Yhwach will all touch their wieners together and pee on the tips of each other's dicks (and possibly dribble on each other's balls). Then Orihime will spray her breastmilk on Ichigo's anus, reviving him, and all will be saved. What? You thought Bleach wasn't silly? I can come up with even sillier plots that make just as much sense as the current one. 😐

ddm, what family guy episode are you talking about?

dat one-upsmanship. funny thing is that this still isn't Yhwach's true form. He'll evolve one more time when Goku, I mean Ichigo shows up.

That's not a direct quote. That's me applying the same skit from Family Guy to this situation.

Indeeeed. He will have to do something for Aizen, too....just not sure what, yet.
